Help, what if you meet people who don't have DDP?

Hello all,

We will be a group of 10 having a sort of Grand Gathering. I was not planning to get the DDP but in looking at our reservations, we are short on signature restaurants so it might be worth it.

The problem is the grandparents have their own room (just 2 of them) and for them, I am not sure the DDP is worth it.

So if 8 of us get it for our families, and the grandparents (2) don't get it, will we have a major disaster every time we go to pay?

ALso, I have the Disney Dining Experience. Will they they take 20% off wines or extras?

I'm not sure how grand gatherings would work but I know at TS restaurants they would just give you a seperate check for their meals. You can definitely use your DDE card for any OOP expenses such as wine. Most establishments automatically add the 18% tip when doing this so just doublecheck your receipt so your not double tipping.

Actually, the Grand Gathering really doesn't have much to do with the dining. To make the dining reservations I was told to call group dining. So we are just a party of 10 or a party of 8 in every ADR. Thanks!

I thought it might since you are allowed to use your TS credits for the grand gatherings. Enjoy!

Just get separate checks for the folks who aren't part of your hotel reservation.

I think that may also present a problem. We also have DDE and if they get a separate check, they won't get the discount I believe.

That's possible. You may need to choose between the two checks with regard to applying the DDE discount.

But if you pay for their meals, you will get the DDE discount.
