We have had nothing but trouble with jetsgo. They have delayed our flight from 1:05pm to 7:55pm and we have just checked the internet here and it is now saying we don't leave until 4am. I have Ryleigh who has seizures and needs to sleep..... suppossedly we can't leave to get a hotel for the night.
What do I do??????

That's awful for you. I checked their website, and the 4:00am flight is the last flight until at least Tuesday. Did Customer Service actually tell you you couldn't leave? Have you explained about Ryleigh to the airline rep? Maybe they have some quiet corner where a child could bed down for a little while.

Certainly they should try being a little accomodating under the circumstances. Did they at least explain the delay?

Best of luck,
Mort.

in a more timely manner!

Talk to the Rep, make them understand that Ryleigh is a special person and that 40,000 of her closest friends will be on their case!

Can they not at least supply a pillow and blankie for her? So sorry that this has happened. I hope the rest of your trip was better!

I really feel for your situation....I would demand that the airline make some sort of accomodations for your child, esp with a medical condition.

But, your case brings out the dark side of these discount carriers...we have a huge billboard near the Newark Airport here in NJ that's advertises Jetsgo's Toronto flights (Newark to Toronto) for $95!....but I wouldn't ever fly them...Continental is fine for me...even at a substantial premium in airfare!

With few planes, little/no back-up flight opportunities, and no ticketing agreements with other airlines...it's always a gamble to fly with airlines like these IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH THE PLANE (Jetsgo, Hooters Air, Spirit, USA 3000)...I'm not really referring to the Southwests and the Westjets of the world which are larger and act more like the big airlines.

I hope all works out for you.

how I hope you're on your way home (it's 6am)....

Fingers crossedxxx

Wow that sucs I hope they get something for you for your lost time and the situation with your daughter mind you I would be hard pressed to take free tickets from them as an offer after this.

Oh-no! :( I hope you're able to work things out with Jetsgo. That's a big delay, did they explain to you what happened. I'm hoping they'll make some exceptions for you since you're traveling with Ryleigh. Sending some PD your way :wizard: Let us know things turned out.

I've been checking all day for an update--I hope you eventually made it home today.

Hope you're all home safe and sound, and that you're just getting some much needed rest. Let us know.

Wedding Update:

So it happened and with only a few downsides. I walked down the aisle twice as we forgot the priest the first time and I wanted to do it right. So I turned on my heels and literally ran back down the aisle. Needless to say... no one else followed so i walked the aisle alone! Priest was Michael's uncle who also screwed up our rehearsal so we had no idea what we were doing!!!!
Nice sunny day but the church was sweltering so my makeup ran after paying $100 to get it done professionally! My bridal party wasn't much help... I was the only one ready when the photographer showed up... and I hate waiting on everyone!
Meal was great as were the cupcakes. Problem was the venue didn't bring the cupcakes out until half the guests had left... therefore, I had to bring home like 50 cupcakes... needless to say.. the nieghbours all got samples!

The Honeymoon....

I had great intentions when i decided to include my cousin and her daughter in our Honeymoon.... and boy will I kick myself if I ever try that stunt again!
My cousin has absolutely NO control of her child. Yes... she is only 19 months old but beyond spoilt. She is constantly screaming at the top of her lungs ( happy or sad) and her hearing is perfect!!! We ended up ditching them most of the week and keeping Ryleigh with us.. so no "alone time"!

Weather:
Very hot but not killer. We stayed hydrated and walked through all air-conditioned shops. Had a mister myster for Ry! Not one drop of rain!

Parks....
Magic Kindom on Sunday May 22 and Wednesday May 25.... busy both days. Rode most rides twice. Could not get on Buzz lightyear on Wednesday as line up was for fastpass return reached new Stitch ride!
MGM Studios... took it real slow. Arrived at 10am... did Bear in Big Blue House, ToT, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, WWTBAM, Muppets, and had lunch at 50's prime time( Give it an A+) and were back at CBR at 3:30pm!
Epcot... did this on the Monday... suffered the heat the most here while we did WS for my mom. Way to hot! had lunch at the Sunshine so-and-so.... I'd give it a C.
Skipped AK this time.. too hot for Ryleigh!

Meals....
Crystal Palace - Dinner A
The food was good, selection quite big and service was great. Characters also stayed well away from Ry which was a plus too! Still a very loud placeeven though we were at the far end of the building. Not enough dessert selection.

Chef Mickey's - Dinner A
Really enjoyed food and desserts here.Characters were good and staff exceptional

50's Prime Time Dinner:
I love this place and we were lucky enough to have our server from last time Little Brother Mickey! He is wonderful. He brought us a cupcake out for our wedding congrats and Ryleigh gets all blubbery when we have to leave. It is the weirdest thing! She never cries but she starts sobbing this heartbreaking cry everytime we have to leave here! Food was great.... Salmon for us and Ry had pasta!

1900 Park Fare- Cinderella dinner..... Dinner B - B+
I wasn't as impressed with the fod this time. However the character interaction was great as was the noise level compared to CP.

Ohana's- Dinner A+
Just Michael and I had dinner here. Got a window seat and saw the fireworks too! Food was great and we had Mandie as a server who was awesome!

Big River Brewery and Grill: Dinner A
Food was good... had huge piece of salmon. Ate inside and found it to be quite bland. Rather eat on patio and view the sights.

Boma's - Dinner A
Food was excellent as usual and place was packed. Not much order in line ups for food so can get quite frustrating. Servers were not very friendly!

Resorts...

CBR:
Nice theming and we loved the quiet pool. Ryleigh enjoyed the kiddie pool but it was always so crowded! Resort is too big for my liking. Path to OPR took about 20 minutes to walk from our building 23 @ Martinique. You could get there in 5 if you cut through building by way of exterior halls/ paths.... but that was really confusing! Nice store and plenty of food choices. We had a King bed accessible room which was also a corner room. Quiet location except for the screaming brat in the next room which was adjoined! Yes Maddie has lungs!

BWV:
Michael, Ryleigh and I stayed here in a 1-bedroom and we loved it. The looby was astounding. I think it was more impressive than GF. We are definitely interested in becoming members! One problem in my eyes... way too many doors in bathroom area. I kept walking into them in the dark if the lights weren't on. We had a waterview which looked out to the bridge and the river at the front of the building. Loved both the quiet and the themed pools. Both pools had only a small number of people swimming in them when we went!

HI family Suites....
I didn't personally stay here but my mom did and in my eyes... I thought it would be a lot bigger than it really was. have stayed at Quality Suites maingate east before and will stay there again because the rooms were much bigger. they didn't use the themed pool so they's have been ok if they had been at QS. Not much shade either at the quiet pool area!
Breakfast was said to be filling and had good selection and kids ate free with a paying adult was another $ saver! Don't think we'd stay there again though!

Best Western DTD..
Bad experience. Asked for a room away from noise and they put us abaove the bus area..... Room as big and very spacious but had to wait forever for bed rail for sofa bed for RY. Our bed was shaped like a boat so we slept terribly. Kept rolling into the centre where it bowed! matress was way too springy! Sofa bed had much more support!

Major Disappointment of Trip before flight home!
I had booked Wonderland Tea for Ryleigh months ago at GF. After numerous phonecalls back and forth as to whether she could attend due to her disabilty and the fact that they didn't adults in the program, a message was left on my voicemail that she could attend May 25th @ 2pm. We raced over there from MK and found out that we were 25 minutes late. That it had started at 1:30 so she missed it! And I was charged for $25 US!!! Not happy.
Took Ryleigh back to MK and to TOny's cuz she hadn't had lunch yet. i expalined I needed a table for 2 but only the child would be eating and what had happened to the Wonderland tea.... the staff were great. She was given a tinkerbell balloon.... and vouchers to jump to front of line for character greetings! Probem is... she is terriied of the charaters!!!! Nice thought though!

What happened at the airport????

Don't keep us in suspense.... :hyper:
