Don't know if you have called the customer service line, yet-if not...
First of all, the gel cold packs usually are made up of a solution of water and ammonium nitrate fertilizer. The bluing agent is the same stuff that is used to make toilets sparkly white. Can't garuntee that she won't still have a white bleached out spot but...
Take the jacket & a bottle of dish washing soap into the bathroom, put into the tub. If the spot is on the outside of the jacket, you want the inside facing up towards the water. Run cold-
very cold-water through the jacket for around 5 minutes. (10 if a heavy down coat) place some dish washing soap on the inside of the jacket, rub back and forth gently. Rinse until water runs clear. Repeat.
Wash/Dry according to tag directions. Like I said, it will take the fertilizer out...but there may still be a "bleached" out stain.
Of course, it is always the "new" coat, or the "good" one...why can't they ever destroy the old play coat?
