Family of five plus MIL have plans to stay at WL for 4 nights starting 9/25 with free dining. Have 2 standard rooms booked with 4 day park-hoppers. Leave on 9/30 for 3 day cruise on the Wonder returning on 10/3.

It's been almost 3 years since we've vacationed in FL, and with a tween and teenager, we would like to squeeze in US/IOA. Younger kids are out of school until 10/3 and teenager is out of school starting 9/25. MIL wants to get back to work by 10/4.

I am looking at HRH or RPR for a one or two night stay, but we would require 2 rooms as opposed to one suite at off-site hotel.

Two night stay: arrive on 9/24 around late afternoon/early evening , teenager would have to miss some midterm exams unless she can take them early

One night stay - arrive 9/25 early morning after overnight in Jacksonville/Daytona

Questions:
1. Do you thing FOTL for on-site guests is worth the extra $$$ considering days at US/IOA will be on weekend?
2. Would you do one night or two nights at on-site hotel?
3. Which hotel would you suggest?
4. Should I try and talk MIL into staying an extra night or two and do US/IOA at the end of the cruise? (Younger kids would miss 2 days of school with this option)
5. Is two park days enough and would you pay extra for park-park?
6. Should I book now or wait and see if any deals are offered in September?

Sorry for the long post...Really looking forward to your advice. Thanks
