Hello everyone!
:wave2:
In exactly 33 days I finally get to make our ADRs for our upcoming trip!
:cool1:
I’m planning on starting a pretrippie in a little while, but I could use some feedback about the order to try and score our ADRs. I’m planning on going online at 6am, but will try by phone at 7am if necessary.
:surfweb:
We’ve had our DVC room ressies booked since 9 months out, but I’m not adding DDxP til a month or two before we leave, since we have to save up for it! I know a lot of our ADRs will need a credit card to hold, and that we’ll be charged the whole thing in advance for CRT since the dining plan won’t be linked to our reservation at the time of booking. I’ve heard that once we add it, I can either call back to ask them to switch it over and reverse the charge, or they can do it on the day of the ADR.

Anyway…I’m looking for suggestions for which order to try and snag the big ones: ‘Ohana (Breakfast & Dinner), Le Cellier (Lunch & Dinner), Cinderella’s Royal Table (Breakfast), Crystal Palace (Breakfast as early as possible), Princess Storybook Breakfast @ Akershus, Be Our Guest (Dinner), Donald’s Safari Breakfast @ Tusker House (as early as possible)

I’m guessing my second tier would be: Tusker House (Lunch), Play & Dine @ Hollywood & Vine (Breakfast & Lunch), Garden Grill (Dinner), Boma (Dinner), Cape May Café (Dinner), Liberty Tree Tavern (Lunch),Boma (Breakfast), Raglan Rd or Wolfgang Puck Café (Dinner), Rose & Crown or Tutto Italia (Lunch), Whispering Canyon Café (Dinner)

Who: Me, DH & DD4 (at the time of travel)
What: Going Deluxe for the first time! 9 nights of DDxP!
Where: Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House (DVC)
When: Thursday, April 11th, 2012 – Saturday, April 20th, 2012

*character meal

I know it’s a TON of food…and we have no intention of eating all of the food that’s available to us. We’ll probably skip the apps a lot, or split one. A lot of the ADRs are more for the breaks from the heat and/or character interactions. We have favorites that are “must do”s, and a few new ones that we’re looking forward to trying (Be Our Guest!!!!) I kept trying to pare it down so we could do regular DDP, but I couldn’t do it. Last trip, we had the regular DDP and ended up paying OOP for about 7 TS meals. I did the math this time, and while it’s not a major savings, it was pretty close to breaking even. The biggest benefit was not having to worry about DH’s sticker shock when the bill arrives, and only having to set aside for tips!
:faint:
DD3 has special needs and was 100% g-tube fed until about a month ago. My big concern was being charged a TS credit for her when she couldn’t eat or drink anything. I’m happy to report that she has recently started to take little bites of food by mouth, although she still doesn’t drink at all. I’m guessing that we’ll still have to pay for her, but I’m going to mention it when we check in and see if maybe they can adjust her plan to a child, or not require it since she literally eats about 6-8 small bites of food a day, and can’t drink anything.

Okay, I got a little off track there…

TIA for your input!

Ok. Here is my suggestion, especially in light of your daughter (Congrats on her eating something by the way...big step forward!). Have you considered TIW? You can order as much as you want (or not) and exactly what you want (ie apps, but not a meal) and guarantee you save 20% off. It is accepted at most ts meals. You can still make as many adrs as you want.

Aside from your desire to take a break (and/or your need to take a break), have you considered the effect of all those ts meals on your time? You are looking at spending about 6 hours of every day at resaturant. Plus getting to and from all the adrs. Your schedule made my head spin! And you are park hopping! You have not left much time (perhaps on purpose) for rides, shows, parades and the pool. Our kids love having downtime at the resort pools and community hall. Again, perhaps this schedule is needed, but just wanted to mention it.

Also, you should have little if any problems getting adrs if you go on the system as planned. There is generally tons available now that the credit card gurantee is in place for so many.
Have fun!

I say go for the Deluxe Dining! Your choices look awesome! We are doing the DxDP in 76 days ! :yay: and I cant wait! My PDR is in my siggy :) You are right you dont have to clean your plate!
