Help us pick for split-stay: BLT, PVB, WL, or AKL

We've got a 7 day trip coming up in March and are looking to split it up to do a split stay for the first two days. It's a complete toss-up for us between BLT, PVB, WL, AKL. The pro of BLT or PVB is the proximity to MK, but the other seems tempting as well. We generally dine pretty well so that's a factor for us, that and being with two little ones the pool could be a factor. Thoughts on which we should pick and why?

Right now I'd skip VWL as there is the construction going on. It's not that I'd say stay home if that were the only option but since there are other resorts I'd go with one of them. If your two little ones like animals I'd say AKV is a nice spot for a couple of nights and has some very nice dining offerings with Sanaa at Kidani and Jiko and Boma at Jambo. If an MK resort is more the choice I'd do BLT with the young ones. It has a nice splash area and walking to MK is a bonus. And for dining at CR you have the Wave which is very good and one of my favorites - California Grill. Or other resort dining is just a monorail ride away.
