DH and I were planning on taking the kids to WDW next October for MNSSHP again, but he couldn't wait and so we're going this year. (Yippee!)

Our 2006 trip is still on but after reading some of the boards, I am really interested in seeing WDW at Christmas time. I suggested to DH we go after Thanksgiving through the first week in December so we can celebrate our wedding anniversary on the 5th. He wasn't against it, but I still need to do some convincing.

Please share your favorite holiday things to do at any of the parks so I can share them with DH and convince him to go. I LOVE Christmas and really want to go at that time just once. I already mentioned MVMCP, but don't know much about other things.

What are the Osborne Lights and where are they? Does AK do anything? Do the countries in Epcot have their own holiday displays?

Thanks for your help.

Not to mention Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. That's a must do. It's awesome!

It's the LEAST crowded time of year (the week after Thanksgiving). That would be enough to convince me!

The week of Dec. 14th 2 years ago we got on Mission:SPACE in 2 minutes (not even joking) the first year it opened because the crowds were so sparse. It's an incredible time to go. Christmas in Disney is the most amazing thing!! The Candlelight Processional is wonderful, the trees and displays can have you busy for hours, and everyone is in the Christmas AND Disney spirit!!! :) Absolutely get down there during Christmas!!!

That is the best time to go. Each country in Epcot has their own version of Santa that tells the story from that country. You have the Tree lighting at EPCOT. At MGM you will have the special motor parade... At AK it is decorated and each character that you meet is in Christmas atire...at MK they make it snow....Don't forget about the Osborne lights at MGM.

We are going over THanksgiving for the 3rd time! Seeing Disney decked out for Christmas is just absolutely beautiful!!!! Last year we did Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party twice. To walk in Main Street in the snow is just awesome. That alone is the worth the cost of the party to me. We also like to resort hop and see the decorations and trees there. Grand Floridian has a huge gingerbread house. The kids liked that. We also do the Storytellers in Epcot, try and catch the tree lighting. The parades all have a holiday theme to them. The Osbourne Lights are great and they make it snow back there in New York too! The characters are dressed up for Christmas & winter. There is Christmas music being piped in everywhere you go. Its a wonderful time to visit. Im hooked now. I have to make our 2nd trip a year there over Thanksgiving to see the decorations and do the MVMCP! If we didnt take a 10 day trip there in January I would go the first week of Dec when there arent crowds. But this way, we get to come again and the kids will only miss a day of school. Try and find pictures of the decorations and show DH!! There is a thread going on now where people are posting there holiday pictures!
