HELP!!! Trying to get shirts made for a MAW child

Okay, let me say I have no crafty abilities.....nada, zip, zero!! That said, I am really wanting to make some shirts for a special little MAW girl at our church. She is going in March, so I have plenty of time to research it and hopefully be able to do it. She has Downs Syndrome and to top it off has been diagnosed with Lukemia (sp?)
Anyway, I was trying to find out how you go about getting the transfer designed and then out of the computer and onto a shirt.
Remember.....I have NO crafty abilities and Im not too computer savvy....but I really want this little girl and her family to have a couple of cute shirts
Whoever is nice enough to post, please give it to me in the simplest, transfers for dummies type language

First off, you will need to buy iron on transfers. Then, at the top of this board there are directions to do a shirt step by step...HOWEVER, M_I_C_K_E_Y_ has the BEST iron ons out there...she includes directions for her transfers.
You will need to find the design or 2 to do, then find the tee shirt..wash the shirt and dry it with NO FABRIC softner...In fact, I don't even dry my shirts in the dryer after they are washed. Iron the shirt and get all wrinkles out, remember NO fabric softner. I like to wash the shirt, press it off, and let it "rest" for a day. When I run the transfer on the iron on paper, I don't iron it on right away either. Melia's Magical Make a Wish Trip
And then, where do I buy iron on transfers? I am assuming these run through my computer printer?

I would suggest you just ask for someone to do a design for you with any and all info you want on a design. That way, maybe a couple of awesome designers will come up with a design and you can use them for a few shirts You will need name and dates for the Wish. As for transfers, go down here and look for M_I_C_K_E_Y thread and pm her with the need to order transfers. You can order them directly from her and she is amazing as to how fast she can get them to you in the mailYou will save the design to wherever you save pictures to, I use: My picture area and once you save them there, you will decide on how big you want them to print. Once you have decided that, go to Print, printing preference, click on features at the top part, then arrow down to type of paper you will use..transfer paper is there, once there, then decide on size, click ok, this will go to print and bam...you will have your first transfer printed out Good luck and if you need more help, just give a shout
