I have a holiday booked for 22nd dec 14n and I cannot get into the VA manage my booking to book my seats. Why??? help please:sad2:

Are the flights booked direct with VA or part of a package with VH?

If with VH, even though part of Virgin group, the have a seat allocation to sell and do not assign seats immediatley

Hi no I still can't get I. I phoned virgin and they couldn't get into my booking either- although they assure me that it is booked. They seem to be having problems with all flights from Jan2010. I'm a little worried as on the phone they said they are having problems as there has not been a plane assigned to that route for that time yet, they agreed with me that it is very unusual for them to be in that situation as they usually have the planes and even the seat plan assigned way before the 11month selling mark. I have been told to phone again next friday

forgot to add route is Man - Orlando. Would be intetested to hear from anyone who has managed to get a seat for Jan 5th onwards incase it is a problem with my booking itself. As I never quite fully beleive/ understand what Vrign call centers tell me (although on this occassion I finialy got through to a UK center and that where I found out about the plan assignment- I even have her direct Number to phone back :cheer2: But its only of use to anyone else if they are also travelling with someone with medical/ special needs)

I have just come off the phone to Virgin Holidays.
Our return flight had changed departure by 5 minutes. Because they had not told me nor Virgin Atlantic to match the locator code to this new flight  I was locked out of Virgin Atlantic manage my booking.
The rep said to wait 2 days and I should be able to get in to seat allocations etc

I haven't been able to get onto the Vigin Holidays site at all for the last half hour or so - seems like they may be having technical problems (or, if they aren't - I am!) :confused3

I can get into Virgin Holiday site and Manage my booking okay :)

How strange! I can't get the site to open at all - I've tried both the link in my favourites and typing in the address, but neither of them connect. I'm not having trouble opening any other sites.

I still can't open Virgin Holidays' site, but I tried to access 'manange my flight' on Virgin Atlantic and have discovered our schedule has changed, and like Cyrano, I was locked out of the 'manage my flights' page. I telephoned VH and they have reloaded the flights on to our booking.

I was told to wait 24hrs before I can log in again to request our seats. Originally we had been able to snag a row of 2 at the rear of the plane, but I'm sure they won't be available when I eventually get back in to re-select :(

Still, I'm a born optimist, so fingers crossed :)

every time there is a schedule change (either time or plane) then the old locator does not link to the new flight so their advice is to check your bookings weekly. There system seems to be very discorgonised.

At least you all have planes that can be booked. :yay:

My problem is that it seems they haven't got planes set up for next year so I cant book seats- I am worried that may be it's an ecconomy thing and they are waiting to see if planes are needed form manchester every day or if they can run with less flights. The virgin rep I delt with agreed that this was very very unusual.:confused3

Yeah - I can now log in (so it didn't take long at all after I'd phoned), and we've still got the seats we'd previously requested :thumbsup2

lucky you!! I just get throgh to a grey screen with my booking in a banner at the top of it.
