Help! So lost, many questions

Then as others have mentioned, you should consider getting a 3 day park hopper. Just a few dollars more than a 2 day hopper. You can drive in one morning, spend two nights, & enjoy a good 1/2 - 2/3 day on your last day

2-day park hopper
$132 (ages 10+)
$112 (ages 3-9)

3-day park hopper (purchashed through disneyland.com)
$169 (ages 10+)
$139 (ages 3-9)

3-day park hopper (purchased at gates)
$189 (ages 10+)
$159 (ages 3-9)

So for adults it is a $37 difference (if the 3-day is purchased online.) I know that at WDW, it is literally just a few more dollars to add an extra day (It was about $2 more a person for us to add a 6th day to our WDW ticket.) Just wanted to clarify.

Thanks for posting the price difference.

$37 is definitely more than "a few dollars". I do believe the longer the stay, the less the "add an extra day" amount becomes. (at WDW & at DLR)

But the other bennie of the 3 day hopper (over the 2 day hopper), along with having an extra 1/2 to 2/3 day at Disney...... is the visitor gets one day MM/EE... which for two toddlers would be very handy to have (to get more enjoyment of fantasyland).

I agree...I mean, to me the 3rd day would definitely be worth the $37....especially with the MM/EE. I just wanted to make sure the OP didn't think it was actually a few dollars like at WDW.
