Ok, I know this has been asked before, but I always seem to see different answers!

I am making my dining reservations on 6/3. I have a few places that require me giving my cc info--HDDR, CG, CRT, etc...
I am on the Deluxe Dining Plan. They won't charge my cc for the entire amount, will they? I really can't afford hundreds of dollars of charges on my cc right now! LOL!
Do I need to be really insistent that the person taking my reservations makes sure she does not charge my card? I've heard a few stories on here about that that make me really nervous.

TIA!

We booked CRT last time and gave our credit card #. We had no problem. My mom also had booke a few ADR's there and had to cancel and had no problem either, no charges. If anything the CM stressed to me that there would not be any charges made unless we did not show. That was alst Dec. (made adr' in June)

Hope this helps also one question could you tell me what CG is I have not had coffee today and can't figure it out.

Thanks!

The answer is, it depends on the location. My trip was a month ago, so hopefully my info isn't outdated. For CG, I had to leave my CC#, with the understanding that if I didn't show and didn't cancel with 24 hours notice, I'd be charged $X per person ($25 maybe, something like that)... no charge was taken at that time. For CRT, it depends if you're on the DDP or not. If you're going to be on the dining plan, then they take your CC#, but only charge it if you no-show. If you're not on DDP, they charge the full cost right then and there. Not 100% positive on HDDR, but I believe it works like CRT.

Thanks to both of you! I will just have to really stress that I am on the DxDP.

CG=California Grill (I keep forgetting if there's an E on the end of that! LOL!)

I appreciate both of your responses! :)

My DH and I are going during free dining on the DxDDP and we (meaning I) made our ADRs about a month ago, I had to leave a CC number but no charge thus far. I had to leave it for Luau, CG, and there was one more and I too can not afford for my CC to be charged. They reassured me it would not be charged and it hasn't been thus far. Happy Planning!

as long as you are on a dining plan you will not be charged. Make sure to let them know you are on one when you make your ressies. The credit card is only charged in the event you do not show or cancel with less than 48 hour notice. (can you tell that the CM's, yes more than one, went over this at length before I handed over my CC # ;) ). I DO NOT give out my card # easy and double checked this out beforehand.

Have FUN!

BTW: OP love your ticker. love the HM and the improvements they made were great!

Thank you to both of you!

I will do as you guys say and make sure she/he knows that I am on the ddp.

Tina la--thanks! It's so funny--my dd is so torn between sweet and nice like the princesses and scary and dark like the HM! She absolutely loves that ride though--we rode it over atleast 6-7 times when we went last September--it was by far her favorite!

us too. My DS was about 18 months last Sept and when we were in the strech room and the ceiling disappears. You look up, guy hanging, woman screams. MY DS decides to clap and "YEA!". Pretty cute. I was impressed that it didn't seem to bother him yet Mickey Mouse walking towards him would put him in hysterics! :rotfl2:

Too funny! We saw some kids that looked to be around 9 or 10 that started crying during that--so that's pretty impressive! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad she likes that ride though--it's my favorite too!
