Hey.
Just wondering, I'm going to Disney in a few days, and I'm not all that sure I wanna go. I would rather go to Cape Cod, or something where I can relax. I went to Disney when I was 4, but besides that this is my second time going. I'm not really into rollarcoasters, or the Disney characters. Is there anything I might like to do there? Thanks.

Lost child, we at the DIS can help you find your way...

Just kidding. ;)

The good thing about WDW is that there's a huge diversity in the rides. If you go into the Theme Parks/Strategies board second to the top, you'll find tons of information.

You want to relax? Go to DW. I can't think of a more relaxing place on Earth. As far as Disney characters go....You'll love 'em. They are just so fuzzy...well..some of them. You can collect their autogrpahs too. If you're in to collecting, get into Pin Collecting. I'm in to it, and it's just great! :teeth:

I'm the same way but I still love Disney. There's great places other than rides and stuff. There's Epcot, then there's MGM. Those are my two favorite places. :thumbsup2 Of course, the Theme Parks/Strategies Board can probably help you more than I can, lol

Which Disney are you going too? disneyland(california) or disney world(florida)? there are many mild rides, awesome foods, shows, and shopping.

I was just wondering how old you are?---My DS is 14 (15 when we travel) and he lives in Mass w/his dad---Well night before last I was talking to him about the trip and he said he wasn't really sure he wanted to go---Now mind you he has lived in Ma all his life and except for going to his grandmothers in New Hampshire he hasn't been anywhere---So I guess I'm wondering why would someone his age NOT want to go to WDW?

EPCOT is a really fun place to go to because there's lots of things to do besides rollercoasters, e.g. all the "stuff" in the Innoventions building and the countries in the World Showcase (there are some awesome rides there that aren't rollercoasters, like Test Track, Spaceship Earth, etc.) It really doesn't focus on the characters much either, like MK does.
MGM has a lot of shows to go to, like the Muppets 3-D and Beauty and the Beast. There are also lots of opportunities to take pics in great places, if you're in to that.
If you're staying on-site, there's lots of fun stuff to do at your hotel...just ask!

I hope this helped, and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask! :goodvibes

You are asking this on a Disney board lol. I am fifteen and will be sixteen when we go again in June. I have been to Disneyland or Disneyworld 1 or 2 times a year since I was 18 months old. While there are a few rides that got old, they are stuff I grew up with and I still love them. There are plenty of things to do, trust me.

Also to the poster above, it seems to me that your son is worried about what his friends will think if they find out. I don't know that just what kind of pops out at me.

Trust me hun, YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME. I've been going ever since I was 2 and trust me it will be great. Ride all of the rollarcoasters and Mission Space and Soarn'. If you want to relax, just go to one of the spas they have at the hotels or down the lazy river at typhoon lagoon. (Not at Blizzard Beach, you'll get soaked on their lazy river.) Definetly see Fantasmic, it pulls on your heart strings with all of the disney characters, but the special effects rock.

yeah if you like swimming, do that because almost all the hotels have pools, especially the Beach Club Villa, that place is ALMOST as good as Disney. Seriously, its just like a water park, it has a lazy river, a 20-30 foot slide, and the water is really warm.

and i've never really seen the tourist/relaxation potential of the Cape. what do tourists see in it?

Ok it's obvious you haven't been in a while and it's a good thing you're here! We're all happy to help you! Disney is so diverse there are so many things to do there I haven't even done all of them. You make your vacation whatever you want it to be relaxing, stressless whatever. You can go and not do anything to do with the characters and besides Disney doesn't have that many thrill rides - like roller coasterish. But like polysisterchick said it really depends on what park you're goin' to.

Reluctant??? To go to Disney???? :faint: Lol Disney is the BEST PLACE EVER. Something for EVERYONE.

You can't not want to go to Disney! GET OFF THE DIS,GO FAR AWAY! GET! Just kidding!!! Go to Disney!!!!

:smickey: Don't worry! There is a place for everyone in Disney World. Here are a few Magic Kingdom tips:
1.Stay away from Micky's Toontown Fair! ::MinnieMo
2.The only place to go in Fantasyland is It's A Small World (unless you want to cool off in Ariel's Grotto). :sunny:
3.Don't go on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin or Stitch's Great Escape in Tomorroland. :stitch:
4.Do not see Cinderellabration. :tink:
5.Make sure your parents don't book a character breakfast. :donald:

You can always go on a lazy river or book a day at the spa with your mom. :cheer2:

Hope these tips help. Have a happy Disney World vacation! :mickeyjum

OH my goodness, I'll go for you if you don't want to! :rotfl2:

Just kidding.

You can't really explain the magic of WDW to someone who hasn't been there. You just have to wait and see for yourself, you can't help but love it.

The resort is almost at much fun as the parks. And lots of places to shop. I believe the biggest mall in fl is in orlando. All kinds of outlets. That is if you like to shop. Who doesn't? Trust me there are plenty of things to do. :cool1:

Hey its Ur decision. I’ve been there 15 times and still going. If u like thrill rides u will love the park Disney Studios if u like fantasy go to magic kingdom. If u like technology, Go to EPCOT and last but not least if u luv animals (who doesn’t) go to Disney’s animal kingdom

Just some ideas! Take them in to consideration
