March trip
United $940 for 4 (1 stop in DC)
Jet Blue $870 (non-stop)...but extra day out of school (6 as opposed to 5)
I have FF with United so I would earn more points...but have never flown Jet Blue.

Since it's march I'd go with Jet Blue..........because if something comes up and you need to change, you will get a credit. With United, you will pay big fees to change all those tickets.

However, to get the Jet Blue credit, I believe you must be True Blue members. So you have to join "true blue" for everyone in your party before booking.

Depending on how good the kids are doing at school,as long as they are not missing a test or exam.....1 day out of school extra is no biggie.
We've done it several times (particularily when the kids were younger with no problem). As they get older it does get a bit tougher.
You save $70 without having to stop.Sounds good to me.
Hey...and one extra day in WDW can't be bad either :goodvibes

If your kids are not majorly struggling in school, I'd pick JetBlue in a HEARTBEAT. Their customer service is top notch, the in-flight entertainment (individual TVs in each seatback) is FABULOUS. You don't have to stop anywhere, and you know March weather can be dicey. Flying out of the Northeast, when weather could be an issue, non-stops are always preferable.

I say JetBlue. We love them.

Thank you everyone for your opinions...I really wanted to try Jet Blue...but the times were just bad for me. I went with the United for the 100 more. Times and days were better, and I don't mind the stop over in DCA..it's only an hour. I know the weather is a big thing...but on LI (espically LGA) I do not think it will be an issue. There are several other flights that day if we do get stuck.

I really hope JB comes to Albany, NY(I really want to fly them)...but I don't want to leave my dog in the vet(he has gotten sick the last 2 times and will be 11yo at the time of the March trip)...so I will drive to LI and leave him with family, and then get a NYC flight.

I was happy $242 RT is a great price...and would easilly be a $100 dollars more out of Albany.
