Help... question about National car Rental and Disney Club

I already have my reservation and I 've misplaced my disney club card. I have the coupon but the site says that you also must present the card. Has anyone ever gotten a car without their card? I'd hate to have to cancel and go with another type of discount because this was a great deal. I don't think I'll have enough time to send away for a replacement card. Are National employess told to strictly obey this rule? Any help with answers to my questions is greatly appreciated!!

Yes, I have used national with the Disney Club discount, and they did NOT ask to see my card. I will be there in 5 days using national with the DC rate. I will NOT show my card to see if this has changed. I will post if they ask or not when I return Aug 14th.

Hope you find your card. If you have some time before the trip call the DC and get a replacement card.

That would be great if you could do that. We are trying to sneak in another trip before October and I know I won't get a replacement that quick. We used DC discount last year, too and I can't remember if we gave them the card or not. Maybe with all the info I give them (reservation number, credit card, drivers license and emerald club card) they won't notice that it's not there. Otherwise, I also thought I could explain it and show them my membership news mailing? Go figure, I know where that little book is and not my card.
Also, does anyone know if I can prepay and possibly avoid it too?

I would call DC tomorrow and ask how long a replacement card would take and if they would charge you. I got my renewal card within 2 or 3 weeks last month. It could be your bad luck that you get someone who is a stickler for the rules. I always automatically hand them the card, so I don't have any experience with them asking for it.

I just used National last week and I used the DC coupon. I had my card and my coupon. When we arrived to check out the car she did want the coupon. Did not even ask for the DC card. As long as you have the coupon you should be OK!

I asked this before but I thought I would try again.... I have booked a convertible with National for our trip next spring and with the DC discount it takes over $100 off our total. None of the other discounts even come close.Do you think this will be honored or not? We are using QuikRent and wonder if they even look at what the discount is or if they just check your paperwork and send you on your way. What would you do ....give it a try and "hope" they honor the discount or...just use one of the other codes?

I don't know if I would try that one because DC will no longer exist at that time. I know what you mean about finding a great discount and not wanting to let it go. Keep looking elsewhere and see if you can get another deal. You still have a lot of time before your trip. Good Luck!!
