We have just returned from a trip to SSR, and now are planning our next trip for 2009. Can anyone tell me if they have stayed at any of the resorts on either Oahu or Maui ? We have been to Maui and Oahu before, but we didn't have DVC then and stayed at hotels that are not part of the DVC lists. We want to request as early as we possibly can, to get the best chance of getting what we want. Thank you for any and all help
Of course it was our first trip to Hawaii, so we were in awe of everything there. We took our six year old GD and the resort was especially good for her. There is a pirate ship area for the little ones and good slide at the pool for older kids - adults too. 
The resort is close to Whaler Village - within walking distance and connected by a sidewalk. Our week at the Marriott began on Sunday but we arrived on Saturday and spent that night at the Grand Wailea (Concierge Collection). We used points for the Grand Wailea, but rented the week from an owner for the Marriott stay.
