And I love the labbies, too. See my "senior" labby in my avatar? That's my 13 year old spoiled baby, Sambuca.
Just checked, and everything works great. I can now post to the other forums thanks to your efforts.
I see your picture of your lab. Can't find a better family dog in my opinion. They are so friendly and loveable. We had a lab mix for 15 years that we had to put to sleep. Great frisbee dog.
Got a great black pure bred (Ebonstar Lean Mac grandaughter) from rescue . Lean Mac was the only 4 time national field champ, and our Bella takes after him. Don't know why somebody would pay big $ for her and then get rid of her. She is 2 years old and she is a fetching fool. Even though we are city folk (we don't hunt) you can see the genes at work. Even though she is petite (58 lbs), she is very fast, jumps very high and has not been beat at water retrieving(swims like a fish). After having a geriatric old lab for the last several years, this one has way too much energy for us. Lucky we have 2 boys to keep her busy.
I could talk all day about my labbie. Thanks again Kathy for all your help. Allen
Yes, I cannot imagine a sweeter and more loving dog than a lab.
We adpoted Sambuca and her littermate Bailey from the pound when they were 6 weeks old- so cute, and so much energy!!! They are lab mixes, Sam looks like a purebred Lab, Bailey showed a bit more tan in her face and paws...
We lost sweet Bailey last year, but Sambuca's still going strong at 13! She was a great frisbee dog... but we stick to milder exercise now. She wants to play as much as ever, but we have to stop to rest much more frequently. (Sam AND me!)
I'd love to adopt another Lab, but DH still has vivid memories of the puppy energy and the destruction we lived through the first couple of years. (I became quite adept at patching drywall. )
