Hello,

I am looking to make an autograph book for each of my kids before we go. There are a lot of online printable templates with characters on it which all look great. The only problem is there are so many of them, and honestly I don't believe we will even get to meet half of them during our 3 day visit.

Could you please help me to narrow down the pages I must print, which characters are mostly likely been seen and get to ask for autograph? I will print out all the princesses as we are planning to do the Ariel character dining, what about the rest of the Disney characters?

Thanks so much.

Let's see... these guys are all over the place:

Chip and Dale
Goofy
Pluto
Minnie and Mickey
Donald Duck

These guys are also in the parks, just not as duplicated:

Alice and the Mad Hatter in Fantasyland
Aladdin and Genie with Jasmine in Adventureland
Winnie the Pooh and Tiger in Critter Country
The Evil Queen from Snow White
Cruella Deville
Rafiki
Olaf (in DCA)
Peter Pan
Tinkerbell and sometimes a friend

Some unique characters also attend the character breakfast at the Plaza Inn Restaurant in DL, like the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella and Max, Goofy's son from The Goofy Movie.

I'll add more as I think of them!

Also, make sure to download the Disneyland app and you can check out character locations and the wait time for (only) Mickey's House in Toontown.

At Disneyland:
Princesses are always available at Princess Fantasy Faire (during operating time). There are 3-4 princesses available at a time.
In ToonTown you can always meet Mickey at his house.
In Town Square, you can catch Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

At DCA:
You can take pictures with Mater and Lightening by the Cozy Cone. They alternate shifts. But they don't sign.
Anna and Elsa are in the Animation building. Make sure to get a FastPass to see them. This is available right outside the Animation building.

Also, I've noticed that characters are mainly out during the day.

Just a thought, this is what I've done many times in the past for my two nieces...just get the signatures on plain white unlined index cards and then when you get home you can customize the book based on what characters you saw! Staples sells index cards on a spiral thingy for easy carrying!

We have seen Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Chip, Dale, Winnie, Tiger and Duffy multiple times every trip, with Donald being the rarest one.

At specific greeting areas you can see characters from Frozen, Toy Story, and Disney Junior. Tinkerbell and one of her ferry friends is at Pixie Hollow, sometimes Peter Pan and Captain Hook are seen around there as well. Not sure if they are into Star Wars, but I believe Chewie and either Darth or Kylo Ren are at the Launch Bay. You will meet about 6 princesses at Ariels and they can vary, we saw Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Jasmine, Belle and of course Ariel at our breakfast.

A few that I haven't seen mentioned (but I might have missed it) are Thor, the Incredibles and Frozone, Woody, Buzz, and Jessie, as well as some Disney Junior characters... Maybe Sophia and Doc McStuffins. I'm not sure which, if any, of those I mentioned sign. Perhaps they only do photos?

Also, why is Daisy so much harder to find than all of the other classic Disney characters?? We never seem to find her anywhere.

She's been at all three Surf's Up breakfasts we have done.
Maybe I should make reservations there for our upcoming trip. We normally do Goofy's Kitchen and are going to try Minnie's breakfast in March.

While others enjoy Goofy's, we have gone twice, once breakfast and once for dinner and we didn't enjoy it much at all. We found the character interaction at Minnie's and Surfs Up far superior!

From Perlster Pix's facebook post this week. This is only DL not CA.
** Disneyland Park meet & greet characters list : Saturday, January 23 **

[This list is based on personal observation.
It is accurate in placing characters at various locations,
but is not intended to include every m&g opportunity.]
When characters are joined by "&", they appeared together

*entrance : Ariel, Aladdin, Belle
*Town Square: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Cruella, Pluto
Diamond Mickey & Diamond Minnie, Diamond Goofy
*Fantasy Faire - Royal Hall : Belle, Snow White, Cinderella
*Fantasy Faire- Royal Theatre : Rapunzel & Flynn, Anna & Elsa
*Fantasy Faire - outside : Merida, Rapunzel & Flynn, Anna & Elsa
*wishing well : Ariel, Aurora
* Fantasyland : [Epic] Mad Hatter, Peter Pan, Queen Grimhilde
*Pixie Hollow : Silvermist
*right of Aladdin's Oasis entrance : Aladdin & Genie & Jasmine
*Star Wars Launch Bay : Kylo Ren, Chewbaccca, Boba Fett
*Tomorrowland : two stormtroopers
*Critter Country : Eeyore, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh
*[location unknown] : Dr. Facilier

Just wanted to mention - you can meet some of the characters in different places in totally different costumes. There is traditional Mickey, then there is 1920's Mickey in DCA and there there is Sorcerer Mickey and one time we met Sailor Mickey - I am pretty sure there are other costumes but I just can't remember. He seems to have a fairly diverse wardrobe. Same with the other main characters. So if your kids are like my DD then you know what that means - another autograph right! My DS however, is like 'dude, I already got your autograph the last time we met, remember?" But nope, my DD likely has about 20 signatures from that mouse and this coming trip she'll just keep adding.

So maybe have that discussion just in case you have one like mine!

You can also open up the Disneyland app & it will list the current characters (minus the ones at any of the meals).

I had the same thought before our trip, but what we decided to do instead of a traditional autograph book was bring along one of these anthology books:

Walt Disney's Classic Storybook Collection Special Edition
Disney Storybook Collection
Disney Bedtime Favorites

For characters that had stories in the book, we had them sign the title page of their story (the title pages have the title and an illustration). Characters that didn't have stories in the book signed the blank pages at the front and back of the book.

It solved the whole problem of not knowing who we'd see beforehand, and it makes an awesome souvenir that we will continue to use and read from on a regular basis at home (rather than something that might sit on a shelf and collect dust after the trip)

Just a thought if you are having concerns about which characters you're going to see

Seeing Toy Story characters is always a must for my kiddos. They do sign. We've also seen Sophia and Doc McS and they signed too. Daisy can be found at the Visa Meet and Greet, at Surf's up breakfast, and occassionaly at Minnie's breakfast. I'm not sure why she's not out in the parks as she's a TV character and I would think kids would want to see her.

Jake from the Disney Junior Show is at DCA and Louie from Princess and the Frog is now on the Mark Twain
