Help please, our itinerary has changed!!

I just got an email from my travel agent saying they switched our port days. They switched castaway day and our Florida keys day. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but we were supposed to be in key west for the osu vs Michigan game. This is a huge deal for my husband as he is a graduate of osu and a die hard fan. We already had a bar picked out in key west to watch the game and now we're going to be in castaway. Does anyone know if they will have the game on the ship or replay it later? I know these things happen but it seems we have the worst luck with Disney cruises. The last cruise we scheduled was completely cancelled after we bought our airfare and was a nightmare to work it all out. TIA!

There are several areas on each ship that will show various sports things. Don't worry. He will get to see the game (and possibly with other Buckeye fans).

Meant to add, if he is in a bar that has a TV and it is quiet or enough people are willing they will change the channel. They did that for us once.

If it's a major game, they might show it on the FunnelVision. I watched some football on it during New Year's bowl games one year.

You are really at the mercy of the satellite and the channel broadcasting the game. You can ask and if it is available they would put it on at least one of the tvs in Diversions/O'Gills (didn't know if you were on the Wonder or Magic).

As a Buckeye born and bred, I can attest that this is a big deal. Luckily for your DH, I don't see there will be any problem with viewing the game on the ship. It's a big enough game that it will likely be showing in the sports bar on the ship. I don't know who will be carrying that game but it will likely be either ESPN or ABC, both of which are Disney-owned.

I can only imagine how ticked I would be. Just reading about your situation is getting me worked up. How cool would it have been to watch the game in the Keys! That being said, yes the game will be on in the sports bar on the ship as previously mentioned. As a Buckeye, you know there will be other Buckeyes around to celebrate another Wolverine dismantling!!

There is a good possibility that this game will end up being broadcast in prime time anyway. In that case, regardless of which port you are at you will be watching on the ship. No worries though, the game will be on ABC or ESPN.

We were on the Dream last month for the last game of the NBA finals and they showed the game on the Funnelvision. It was so much fun watching it on the big screen with the rest of the other fans. It did get crowded on the deck, so you might want to check with guest services on the time they would be showing it, if they are showing it. The game was also playing on our stateroom TV, and it even replayed the next day.

On our Christmas Cruise, they played games on the funnelvision and it was fun as people made bets and bought each other rounds of drinks. Inevitably there will be opposing fans on board.
