Does anyone know if Continental is the ONLY airline that flys non-stop from Cleveland to Orlando?

We really want a non-stop flight (2 people in our group are afraid to fly) and while I've been watching airfares, it seems like Continental is the only one who offers non-stop service. I checked Southwest, but all their flights show at least one stop.

Watching pricing will be easier if I only have to keep checking Continental, but I'm worried it won't go down much if they are the only ones that offer non-stop flights.

Check orbitz or travelocity. That will let you know what is available.

Continental has the most Non-stops for Orlando.

It looks like Southwest does have 2 a day. Flight 2605 at 9:45 am and Flight 546 at 6:15 pm. They have them everyday. (It used to be only a few days a week, so this must me new)

Usually Southwest is the same price as Continental.

(Can you tell I look for airfare alot LOL)

Those flights DO make a stop. My guess would be either in Nashville or St. Louis. The passengers from Cleveland do NOT deplane. But keep in mind that there is another take off/landing sequence on those flights.

Unfortunately, I do believe that Continental is the only airline to offer non stop flights to MCO from CLE. Whenever I've been checking prices to book, CO is the only airline that ever shows up with no stops at all. I always fly Continental. Usually, I get fares around $200 w/tax included. I consider it a good price for non stop.

Thanks Guys....I thought Continental might be the only one to offer non-stop from Cleveland (how annoying), but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Tinkbell -- do you fly out of Cleveland? $200 R/T would be great, but so far the best I've found is $260! Of course we aren't going until December 5th, so I have time.

Yes. I fly out of Cleveland. I booked my airfare back in December for this July. $260 wouldn't be too bad. If you see annything around $200 or slightly higher, grab it! Continental out of Cleveland doesn't go much lower than that. Good luck!:D

WOW! If you find airfare for around $200 let me know too!!

I am not sure what I was thinking when I did the Southwest post  I must have been half asleep

We are going around the same time in December! And waiting for better rates to come out...hopefully

We also fly out of Cleveland - we have flown out of CLE to MCO every year since 2000. Every time I compare rates with other airlines, Continental ends up being the cheapest & non-stop. We will only fly to Orlando on a non-stop flight, it just seems crazy to us to turn a 2 hour flight into an allday event with layovers. We figure we might as well drive at that point.

On Continental for the last 4 years the least we've paid is $198 & the most we've paid is $232. We currently have 2 non-stop tickets to MCO in September & got them for $216/ea. The next day they shot up to $245, and then $260 or so.

Try to check Continental's site daily if you can, and as soon as that price goes down, grab those tickets! ;)

My MIL & family recently started flying out of Akron Canton (can't remember which airline.) They have gotten tickets for around $200 & maybe even a little less last summer. I don't like the drive out there & there is usually only one flight time per day (non-stop) to use. I like being able to pick what time we'd like to fly out/back home. HTH! :)

I thought about Akron too, but the fare would really have to be worth it. There are 10 of us going and it would just be an even bigger hassle getting everyone to Akron in time. Hopkins is going to be bad enough! LOL!

Thanks for the tip about checking Continental's site everyday. I've been checking Travelocity and Expedia, but going right to the source seems like a better idea.

I'm really surprised Continental is the only non-stop carrier out of Cleveland. I mean Hopkins is a pretty big airport, I thought there would be at least one other airline that would offer non-stop.

I will be SO happy if I can find a $200 fare!

Airtran is the airline. We looked into them also. The direct flight leaves at something like 7 AM. It just wasn't worth it.
