HELP please! Computer problems!!

I'm really not educated when it comes to my computer so I thought I'd look to here for help because I don't know who else to ask!

There's a flashing thing in the bottom right corner of my screen where all those little icons are. It goes back and forth between a yellow question mark and a black box with a yellow x in it. If I put my cursor over it it says "critical system error".

Also when I go to my home page on the internet instead of going to the DIS like its supposed to it goes to a page with the address of http://isafetypage.com. Its got a bunch of options on there to download or scan my computer with stuff. I haven't done any of that because I'm not sure its the right thing to do.

A box associated with the above webpage comes up that gives a warning about W32.Myzor.FK@yf, whatever that is.

My computer seems to be functioning okay. I've run Adaware and deleted everything that came up and run my McAfee security scan and nothing came up in the way of viruses.

Any ideas what, if anything, I should do? Thanks!

You've got a virus. Run your virus scanner to try to get rid of it.

There is a thread on the tech support board about trojans viruses and worms (oh my!) that will have a ton of information for you. Most of all, do NOT go to that website anymore. there's a GOOD chance that will download more viruses/worms onto your machine.

DO THIS NOW. Don't wait, don't do anything else on your computer until it's COMPLETELY gone.

I'd recommend posting on that forum if you have trouble with getting this removed. They seem to know what they are doing...

Well I'm back! I posted on the forum over there and also have been working practically non-stop all afternoon and evening trying to get this awful thing to go away. Finally this last time my DIS home page is back and the blinky thing on the bottom right is gone. Whew. I hope its truly gone. I just wish I knew how we got it and how to make sure it doesn't happen again. It was AWFUL!!!
