Ahh! Is this true? peak hurricane season?? I don't think my plane tickets are transferable and I need to leave a $250 non-refundable deposit for the condo...what to do? i'm more confused than ever!

Yes it's hurricane season, last year it rained, not every day though and only for an hour or two. Actually hurricane season pretty much lasts half of the year now, and when it's not hurricane season it's super expensive!

The fact of the matter is, if you can't fly because of a hurricane, the company will either give you a voucher for the amount of your tickets or something. You can always call and ask about their extreme weather policy. They're not going to make you fly in a hurricane!

Sept was a great time for us to travel last year. Heat isn't as bad as July or August and there were no crowds!

Don't let the threat of hurricanes worry you. Historically, hurricanes rarely affect WDW. Many rides/attractions are indoors. Plus when/if a hurricane hits the Florida coast it is moving at a high speed. It also moves out at a high speed. Grab a poncho and you'll be fine. It always rains in Florida anyway. It did every day of our vacation last August. It would shower for an hour or so and clear up. Plus the cloud cover from the rain would cool things off a bit. That takes care of the heat. Bite the bullet before your deal gets away.

Plus, if you are staying in a condo. Many have covered pools. So, even if it rains you can still swim. If it is not lightning.
