I am just starting to pack right now and wondering if there are any most have items to bring from home. We are bringing pillow cases for the pillows so the kids have something comforting for when they sleep and 2 leappad games to keep them bussy on the plane. Also some books as my son loves books. I am just wondering what most have items from home you have brought with you. I guess it probably depends on the child, but I don't want to miss anything when I pack. The kids are 12, 7, and 4.

Thanks,

Jessica.

Don't forget a nightlight to help navigate unfamilar surroundings. I forgot but wished I would have let the kids pick out one stuffed animal for night time. The M&M Mini containers filled with coins for penny press or video games was helpful. I found a 1000 uses for quart size zip lock bags including messy sunscreen, hair toys, left over chicken from meals, dry socks, etc...Have a great time!

We have 3 kids- 13, 9 and 2. We brought our portable DVD player (got a cheap one for around $80). It was comforting for my 2 year old to see Buzz and Woody just like at home! Bring inexpensive stretchy gloves in case it gets chilly in the evenings...the last two years we got cold. A blankie from home is good. In the room it's extra security and out at the park it's good for sitting on the ground during parades and for when they fall asleep (if not needed for warmth, it can block the sun). First Aid kit with bandaids for blisters and tylenol/thermometer (one of the kids began a fever our last day). When we went to Disneyland last week, things we forgot were sunglasses, sunscreen for our faces, extra set of clothes (duh), gum to chew during the plane ride, and special snacks that you may not be able to find at the park that your kids can't live without. We DID overpack on entertainment for the kids- they didn't read/play with 1/2 the stuff we brought! Have fun!

Dont forget the favourite teddy bear if they sleep with one. My son has a stuffed dinosaur that has been to Disney as often as he has. Last time housekeeping had Rex watching tv while we were out and when we came in he was facing the tv and the tv was on.

We just got back from 8 days of Disney and I definitely agree about the sunglasses. We had to buy some at Walgreens! One big thing I couldn't have done without was my backpack. I packed snacks for standing in line, our gift cards for souveniers, autograph books and pens and hand wipe individually wrapped and antibacterial gel. I put these things in baggies so my bag was organized and I didn't have to dig through the bag everytime, I just had to get a baggie out! It was very helpful. I also brought frozen and thawed juice boxes and water bottles and put them in coolers in the stroller. We bought uncrustables and put them in the coolers as well. Then if the kids were hungry, we could do lunch in line. On thing I saw someone else have that was a good idea was little activities books. At the shows you wait a lot in line not moving like for rides then you get inside and wait some more and that would have been nice to have. The light up toys that spin I brought in my backpack and would pull them out if I knew the kids would be scared on a dark ride. It was also nice having my passporter so if someone suggested a ride I couldn't remember, I would just look it up. That I left in the stroller. Sorry to go on and on! Hope it helps!!!

Ok- I left the backpack off because it didn't affect me!!! My husband purchased a camcorder (and HUGE mike) to record all of the rides and a new BIG camera for picture taking. With all of this hardware, he had to purchase a backpack which (like a kid) promised that he would wear. Considering he has a natural tendency to over-heat, I was skeptical but he carried it pretty much the entire time and I even had him hold our DVD player for when we were waiting over 2 hours to see Miley Cyrus perform for the Christmas special. He also held the autograph book and passes in it. It was a great thing to have....but I'm sure glad I didn't have to carry it around! Our baby did have a small pack that he carried all of his small toys in and he kept asking to put it on like Daddy! I did see a Buzz one with little wheels but I figured he didn't need the extra weight of the wheels since he only wanted to wear it.
