Hi all,
Im finally back on and nearly at the point of persuading dbf to go to dlp. Im a travel agent and has had agreat offer through for the kyriad hotel. After only staying onsite for all my many previous trips im a little nervous about staying off site. What are your thoughts on the kyriad.?
Also how often and how late do the shuttle busses run to the hotel?
We are paying for our wedding at the moment so im thinking this maybe my only choice if I want to go.

Thanks guys
And it feels good to be back

Welcome back Karen! Can't help with your question though - sorry! Hope wedding plans are all going nicely :-)

Its a basic clean 2.5 star hotel, the bus is very regular, normally not less than every 20 mins, at times it shares with the other 3 hotels, at peak it only shares with one, it can be a nit of a scrum though but we have never had any problems. The bus normally runs to midnlight. The place has a bar open in evenings and a restsurent but never used that.

Personally I think its really good value compared to the Disney values, check out the magic circus prices too, normally its a bit higher but is a slightly better hotel.

We stayed there for 1 night a few years ago before moving onto the cheyenne and to be honest the cheyenne felt like we'd downgraded. Its not posh, but it was clean and comfy with little things like a kettle and complimentary coffee/tea in the room. We used the shuttle without any problems, wouldnt say they were any busier than the disney hotel ones. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the restaurant, but I'd be happy to stay there again :)

We stayed one night there and staying for overnight this time again.
The stay was nice, rooms small, but clean and bed was comfy. And the pillow. The bus runs every 20 mins I think. Breakfast was busy, not so tasty, but we ate only once, so... I booked Kyriad again.

I stayed offsite for several years before going onsite. Although I prefer onsite, I wouldn't have any hesitation staying offsite again.

Have a look at the Kyriad thread, there's some nice photos on there.

p.s. Great to see you back :wave2: and congrats on the upcoming wedding.

Thanks everyone for the advice and wedding wishes,
Im not expecting a lot from the hotel because after staying in the dlh before i know it wont be the same lol. But im looking at is as a place to sleep.
Im glad the busses run late as i do like going into the village in the evening.
I will go and have a look at that link now Elaine, thanks
