So after months of planning, and our trip being 35 days away I presented to my husband the menus for Le Chefs and Tutto Italia and asked him to pick. I had reservations at both, and wanted to cancel one. He replied "I don't like either, I'm sure we can just find a hamburger":headache::rotfl2:

Now, I have asked him for months to look at menus and here we are nearly a month out and I am trying to figure out a dinner plan for our day at Epcot. How easily can I get to DTD from Epcot? What are the transportation options? There is an Illuminations show that night, so I plan to return to Epcot. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Since he doesn't like either I would pick the one that you prefer and stick with it. Leaving Epcot and returning for Illuminations would waste a lot of time. If you are paying OOP and price is an issue I would just stay at Epcot and eat a CS meal.

From EPCOT to DD will take you quite some time. There is no direct transportation. You will need to bus or walk to another resort. Then take the bus to DD. I would probably walk out the the WS entrance and take the bus at the Beach Club. I would figure about 45 to 60 minutes travel time each way. Maybe you could try for something like the ESPN Club or Big River Grille at the BW. You can easlily walk there in 15 minutes from WS in EPCOT. I bet if you call for ADR's you will find an opening at one of those evan this late in the game. But it never hurts to ask about other restaurants at EPCOT too. You never know.

Big River doesn't take ADRs, and I'm not sure if ESPN does either.

Didn't know this was and option, but I agree! Pick one and tell him to suck it up! :thumbsup2

ESPN did the last time we ate there. But that was maybe 3 years ago. Didn't realize that Big River didn't take ADR. So that is definitely an option for the OP.

I can't remember with ESPN. But that's one of the reasons we do Big River. It works for last minute decisions.

Loads of options at the Epcot resorts.
Exit @ the International Gateway and walk to the Resorts.
If he wants a burger, consider Beaches & Cream @ the Beach Club.
You may even be able to get on at Crew's Cup Lounge. Seems they serve food there at times.
ESPN, Big River are walk ups at Boardwalk.
If you are thinking Italian, consider Il Mulino @ the Swan, sushi..Kimono's @ the Swan. Seafood.. FLying Fish @ Boardwalk, Blue Zoo @ Dolphin.
Steaks... Yachtsman @ Yacht Club or Shula's @ Dolphin.
Walk ups would be Beaches & Cream, ESPN, Big River, Hurricane Hannah's @ Storm-A-Long Bay but that's the pool and I don't know how late they are open,
Dolphin Fountain @ Dolphin.
Lots to consider.

Trying to do the math......are you going AFTER the thasnksgiving weekend? If so, you should be ok walking up to either Big River or Beaches and Cream....
However, if it were me and DH didn't give me any input and then at the last minute told me he wanted a burger - I'd pick the ADR I wanted and just let him know that's where we're going!

I know that LeCellier serves a burger at lunch, maybe they could make one for him at dinner?

Here's my 2 cents.... I would not leave Epcot to go to DTD to eat dinner, there are way too many good options where you'll be, why waste all that time traveling? Unless you will be there during the day and are only going to Epcot for illuminations? I think I would just stick with one of the original ADR you have booked. My dh would probably say the same thing! Give him beef and he's a happy man! But seriously, he can get a burger anytime right? ;)

What about Rose and Crown? The menu there isn't very adventurous but the food is good. We ended up adding it on at the last minute and I went in there with low expectations, but we honestly enjoyed it. They won't have burgers, but they will have things like sausages and shephard's pie and fish and chips. I think thave have a pot roast too. I understand that they tend to have openings, especially for an earlier dinner. Another choice might be Garden Grill if you don't mind a character meal. The menu is very meat and potatoes. I haven't been there, but I considered it.

If you must leave Epcot, there's Cape May Cafe's buffet. There's also the Yacht Club, which has an American Food kind of menu. Personally, I'd prefer to stay at Epcot. I guess both Chefs and Tutto don't seem adventurous to me!

Sorry, I misread your post, I thought you said LeCellier! I know that Les Chefs has a burger on the kids menue, I bet they would let him order an adult one there!
