Help on best ways to film night shows

I'm bringing my digi camcorder to WDW with me and I want to film the fireworks, spectro, fantasmic, illuminations, etc...

what is the best way to film these on a camcorder in order for them to show up ok? place it on manual focus?

Definately do manual focus or else the lense will be moving in and out too much. Also instead of manual focus you can use your camera (if it has it) twilight setting. Some even have fireworks settings.
