I resorted to cargo shorts made for men. By looking for ones that had some elastic in the waist, I now have great pocket shorts. Another idea is that a lot of biker shorts now come with pockets and you should be able to find those that fit you as there are so many on the market now. But most of the time lately I admit to resorting to a small cross body, a fanny pack, or a small string backpack. Some water bottle carriers now have a pocket for your phone and space for an ID, too. I just bought one of those but I haven’t tried it yet.Unfortunately that's not an option for some of us.
I've tried on probably two dozen different styles of shorts that actually have pockets and none fit me properly. Too short, too flowy, too tight in the leg, too tight overall, too loose overall.
I wear a pair of cargo shorts with a button or zipper close pocket. Works great for a phone and whatever else you need to hold on to. My DD wears her phone in a waterproof case on a lanyard around her neckOur youngest is now old enough that we won’t need any bags or strollers yay!
My summer shorts don’t have pockets and in case I’m not near my husband, I need something to carry my phone. The only things I need to carry are my phone and a chapstick.
What does everyone use? I have a lulu crossbody satchel but don’t even want that on me in the august heat.
What does everyone use that’s the most minimal? My husband can carry my chapstick if needed.
Thank you! This is exactly what I’m looking for so I don’t have to open my bag every time. Thank you!I use a wristband for my phone when I travel, and it's really helpful because I won't lose my phone since I'm wearing it around my wrist. If you needed to carry a credit card or something, you can get those holders that attach to the back of the phone. But I really do love it. My phone is always out and ready for a quick picture. Most of the time I forget that I am even wearing it. Good luck in your search and enjoy your new-found freedom! I hope this link goes through, I have never attached a link before that I can remember...

Those are the shorts I have other than Jean shorts which I won’t do in August at Disney. I would rather spend on a new bag/wristlet than multiple new pairs of shortsWhy must you wear shorts with no pockets?
I carry a small Camelbak so I can continually re-hydrate. Those have a pocket in them for small items that would totally do the trick.
I'm glad you think this might work! There are other probably cuter styles available on Amazon, but these have worked great for me. I was confused how they work at first, but you take your phone cover off, put the little tab with the ring on the back of the phone with the ring coming out of where the charging hole goes, then put the cover back on. Then you connect that little ring with the wrist band. You can indeed charge the phone without taking the cover off and removing anything.Thank you! Look on Amazon for a phone case that comes with a lanyard. You can wear it around your neck. Even look for a case with a slot to put some cards in it just in case. As for the chapstick.... Well you'll need a crossbody or small purse thing. If you have to do that then might as well forget about the case. Our youngest is now old enough that we won’t need any bags or strollers yay!

I’m going to my child’s make a wish at theme parks in August. I don’t want to sweat and I also don’t want to go through bag check.
I've been going minimal for a long time now. My husband wears cargo pants and carries the few things I need. When I am not with him, I use a 3 prong waist pack which is small enough not to bother me on rides. I hate carrying a lot of things with me and have avoided it like the plague. (we don't have young kids anymore which makes a big difference. Our youngest is now old enough that we won’t need any bags or strollers yay!

Oooooh I just looked up what this is! I am very intrigued.I use a Flipbelt. Fits my phone, cash, ID, chapstick, and credit card.
I prefer the version with a zipper.
I really like this option! Thanks for sharing
- RooSport makes little running pouches that you can tuck into your waistband and they stay put with magnets. It's just the right size for a cell phone and a few small objects, like credit cards or cash. These are nice if you want something that doesn't go all the way around your body.
