hi I'm taking my gf out to wdw on april 22nd next year for her first visit. Allthough i have been a few times before it has been with my perants so i have no idea on what kind of budget i should go for. I'm 18 she is 17, i've already booked flights (£265 each) and sorted acomadation (£585) so in total so far i've spent £850. But I have no idea what kind of amount i should budget on for everything else e.g tickets food etc. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hiya

I went with my boyfriend last year when I was 21 and it was his second time there (first was when he was 10 hes now 25)

I bought my tickets in the uk as it saved some money and it also saved on queing time in the states.

I didnt really budget for food etc I just took about £1400 as I didnt expect to do alot of shopping. This wasnt to buy tiickets with

I would definatly take a credit card for emergencys

Where abouts are you staying?

For food I would think $80 to $100 per day would cover you. You can get all-you-can-eat breakfasts for $4 at places like Ponderosa and Sizzler where you can really fill up for the day. Eating in the parks is more expensive. Allow approx. 15% on top of all meals for tips. Here are the WDW menus and prices for you info:

Spending money is really up to you - if you plan to visit the malls to stock up on jenas, trainers and designer gear then bring you credit cards ;)

Tickets:

WDW:
10-day Ticket: £224
7-day hopper + Disney Quest: £198
5-day hopper plus: £165

US/IOA/Seaworld/Wet 'n' Wild:
4-Park flexticket: £106

5-Park flexticket (incs. Busch): £127

hey. were staying in pop century for 1week then a friends villa for the second. We dont plan to do much shopping really. Was the £1400 for both of you or £1400 each?

"Don't plan to do much shopping" - I wonder how many people have said that before they go to Orlando LOL.

When we are staying on-site we tend to snack in the room for breakfast and then have an early lunch in the parks. There are 4 of us and a counter service meal in the parks or at the hotel food court was around $35.

Your food budget the first week really depends on where you plan to eat. I guess at being 18 you haven't got a rental car, so you will be eating onsite. Take a look at the WDW menu link to get a good feel on food costs onsite at WDW :)
If you are eating all your meals on site then you may need to allow a bit more, especially if you choose to eat at sit down restaurants.
Best value ones are the ones with either a buffet or 'family style' serving.

Bottled drinks in the parks are around $2.50.

How are you planning on organising your transport for your second week at the villa?

My perants are joining us for the second week so they'll have a rental car. I've been to sizzler, ponderosa and a place called golden coral (think thats the place) before and having the all you can eat in the morning would be enough untill late afternoon. Would like to eat there a few mornings, do you know what taxi fare's are like for that kinda distance? I was thinking the one's on the 192 would be closest?
