I had a Mickey & Minnie wedding in September. My color scheme was black, white and red with yellow accents (think Mickey & Minnie colors!). Mine was a subtle Mickey & Minnie though and not too overwhelming. Here's what I've done:
- I did 2 hidden Mickeys. I put one Mickey head in a pew bow and I painted a small Mickey head on the aisle runner.
- I bought the
Lenox Mickey & Minnie cake topper and put it the cake table.
- For favors I bought Mickey head MP3 players off eBay for $10/ea. and uploaded the soundtrack from the parks to them. I made white pouches for them to go in including headphones, USB cord and instructions. On the front of the pouch
we ironed an Mickey & Minnie wedding image with our names and wedding date on it. It was a huge hit!
- We had
Mickey & Minnie toasting glasses.
-
Mickey & Minnie garters!
- I had small blue Mickey head earrings.
I bought a large Mickey head hole punch off eBay for cheap and used it for various things.
- I just had red and cream roses centerpieces with handmade black Mickey head confetti using black cardstock sprinkled on all the tables.
- I put a little Mickey head on my
menu cards,
table numbers,
programs and seating chart.
As for programs, maybe make the Mickey head shaped programs and add red with white polka dots ribbon bow on top. I know this isn't Mickey & Minnie but it's fairytale themed...I made my
unity candle that reads "Once in awhile right in the middle of an ordinary life love gives us a fairytale."
I'm at work right now so I'm limited on posting pics but if you'd like I can post some more later.
HTH!
