My DH decided that while we are on our WDW vacation in February that we need to visit US/IOA. That is great with me but it has been YEARS since I have been. If fact last time I went it was only US!! We are mainly going for WWOHP. I am trying to do this as cheaply as possible since this is an add on to the budget.
Now here are the questions:
1) we are looking at a 2 day ticket...do we need to add on to it so that we can go to both parks per day?
2) what are the best days of the week to go to the parks? We will be in Orlando from 2-12 through 2-19. i know that we can not go on the 13th because we already have plans for that day.

Any tips for this trip will also be greatly appreciated. We have been to WDW many times so we all know the drill there, but have no idea about Universal so this planner is alittle anxious!! :scared1:

You can buy a two day "park to park" which allows you to move between parks each day. I don't find that it is an absolute necessity, especially on a two day trip, but it is nice to have the option.

I would highly, highly suggest that you look into staying at one of the universal hotels if at all possible (Royal Pacific is the least expensive of the three). While they are about double the cost of comparible nearby locations, most find that the location combined with the unlimited front of the line priviliges make for an amazing stay. If you have to stay somewhere anyway, consider spending a little more to make your universal days amazing. You won't regret it, even if it stretches the budget a bit. I don't recall ever hearing anyone say "it was not worth it". As a side note, our family are big Disney fans and we go regularly. However, our best theme park experience remains our first trip to Universal staying on site. Won't do it any other way now!

Non-holiday weekdays are the best times to go in terms of crowds and weekends are typically open a bit longer, so you have to weigh the pros and cons. If you are staying onsite, the front of the line passes really help to eliminate a lot of the "crowd stress".

Thanks for the information. We are going to be staying at WDW and driving to Universal. I am very excited to take my family to WWHOP.

We are also going to visit IOA but for only one day....we will actually be going on Superbowl Sunday. Do you think that this will affect how crowded IOA will be? We are hoping that it would be less busy.
