Hi

I just wondered if anyone has been to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede could you tell me what the food and entertainment is like and if you recommend it.

Many Thanks :goodvibes

DH and I went as guests of friends of ours, and we enjoyed it-

I will say though that if you can get discounted tickets, it would seem to be a better value.

You sit in long rows, and the servers come by with platters of food that are put on your plates or in your bowls. One server takes your drink order, and spends the evening just refilling your drinks.

Our tickets were purchased at SoG, but there are other ticket discounters around who sell tickets.

Once you go in the door, your group will be posing for a 'group' picture that they'll try to sell you later.

Have fun!

The food was great and the entertainment was good, but I was ready for it to be over when it ended. There was a Dolly look / sound alike that was really getting on my nerves toward the end. Kind of hokey, lots of audience participation. My kids enjoyed it. I enjoyed Arabian Knights better for the horses and choreography but the food was awful and it wasn't the same type of family hoe-down kind of thing.

I agree, don't pay full price, but it's worth seeing once.

I am sure they are the same and we LOVED it, guess us hoosiers are hoe downers LOL! My kids were completely engrossed in the show DD7 DS3, we had to remind them to eat. The meals are huge, soup, bread, full rotissery chicken, dessert and drinks. There is some slap stick hummor, games with the crowd and you are the nort and the south, whom ever get the most points wins the fight. I haven't been but I guess around Christmas is the best shows. The horses and the scenery are incredible. By the way if you go ask your server if your kids/you can get involved in the games, ask early though they pick someone from thier area, I won the horseshoe pitching contest, it will mean more after you go. It was a hoot. I would go again and again.

Our family loves Dixie Stampede! We have been there two times; once for the regular show and once for the Christmas show. There's something for everyone, from young to old and what's more, the food is actually good! Other dinner shows we've been to have been good shows but the food left a lot to be desired. DS is lots of fun. If you can't find discounted tickets anywhere else you can use the Orlando Magicard discount on this website. Dixie Stampede is the second one listed.

Have fun!
