Help needed for designing/making family t-shirts for upcoming trip

Id love to make some t-shirts for our next family trip to WDW.

My vision for the design is front:

A nice WDW color picture/graphic (like Cinderellas castle)
And then below
"Lowe Family Vacation
Disney 2010"

And then on the back, kind of like a rock tour type list of dates:

2005 Wilderness Lodge
2007 Polynesian
2008 Boardwalk
2009 Bay Lake Towers
2010 Bay Lake Towers


I looked at some online places- and they are kind of expensive.... Id be fine with doing an iron-on transfer onto some nice white tees= but dont know where to start!

One question:

The file seems fairly small (the front graphic), is that filesize suitable for printing 8.5x11?

Im going to get some transfer paper today and wanted to test one out....
