I am a Disney nut and have been to Disneyland (California) and Disney World multiple times. We are leaving next week for France and will be visiting friends in Paris for part of our time there. I (of course) wanted to go to Disneyland Paris but my hubby and kids did not want to....until our Paris friends said that they would go with us. So we will have one day to do both parks and we will not be staying at a Disney hotel. I realize that there is no possible way to see everything in one day but in what order would you do these rides to minimize waiting in line?

Phantom Manor
Pirates
Space Mountain
Crush Coaster
Ratatouille

I know that we will want to do other rides as well but the above are our must dos. My daughter also wants to eat at Chez Remy but I know that will take away from park touring time. Other rides we would like to do would be Small world, Big Thunder, and Indiana Jones. We want to see things that aren't in the US parks. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks so much!

Following. Planning a fall Paris sister getaway and may be able to sneak in a quick Disney day. First question- how far from Paris city center is the park? I’m assuming you just use the subway? Enjoy your trip and be sure to report back!!

It's hard to say, now that there are no fastpasses available, no EMH for you and the summer holidays in France will start. Even with the capacity limits it will get busy, I guess.

Big Thunder Mountain should be on your must do list, it's the best of all the Big Thunder Mountains in all 6 parks across the world.
I think I would be there before opening and line up to get entrance as soon as the park opens: Crush, Ratatouille, hop to the other park, Big Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor, Pirates, Space, Indiana Jones.

Unique things or similar but different: Aladdin's walkthrough, Alice' maze, Pays des Contes Fees, Casey Jr.
Identical or almost identical: Peter Pan, Small World, Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast

You currently can't go visit the Sleeping Beauty gallery in the castle or the dragon under the castle.

As you have one day, I would skip meeting Anna/Elsa, Kristof/Sven. Skip meeting Mickey in the Theater in Fantasyland, and the characters in Nautilus. These take time.
If you come across selfie spots with characters you should come across plenty without or short lines.
I would definitely would not do table service. In France dining at a table service takes even more time than in the US. The French take their time, you are definitely not rushed.
There is a new show in the Studios which opened yesterday and looked cute, but I would probably skip it in your scenario.

I have made a post with a collection of helpful links:

DLP is not in Paris... It is in the Marne la Vallee which is about a hour+ outside of Paris by car... There is train transportation, not sure how long it will take, another thing to think about or have a back up plan due to the possibly of strike going on that will effect you being able to use the trains, when we were in Paris, the whole 10 days, the trains were shut down due to the strikes. As well while we stayed on property, if you miss the last train back into Paris, the cost of a Taxi back could get very expensive..

I would definately start with Crush Coaster. Go to the Studio's, waiting for it to open then if you can. It doesn't have an FP anyways, and before Covid the wait times were -long- (90+ minutes not very long after opening).
Ratatouille can get quite long too, but I've never seen it as long as Crush.

My guess is, even now, that Crush will have one of the longest wait times still.

I would also suggest skipping a meal at Chez Remy. You're looking at least two hours, maybe longer for the whole experience. It is a different culture from the US parks. When I went I was in there fore a good 3 hours, and we only had 2 courses. However, I was there for a few nights so I had the ability to fit that in and still felt like it had taken a big chunk of time and stopped me from being able to fit in other things that afternoon even though it was something I wanted to do. I didn't think it would take quite as long as it did.
