My son and I will be at AKV this summer (6/22-7/5) for 2 weeks. I am trying to figure out what to do ticket wise. My parents will be there the first 6 days so I am sure we will be going to the park each day then. After that I am not sure what we will do. I am trying to decide between a AP and a 10 day ticket. I am just not sure an AP will be worth it because I don't know if we will be back within a year because we are probably cruising in 09. So if I do the 10 day park hopper (we are not into water parks) that will leave us with 4 days of no parks. Any suggestions on things we can do on these days?

After 6 days in the parks, you and your son will want a day of downtime. they will have some activities for kids at AKL and AKV, also, I suggest you get the schedules for other DVC Community Halls and visit them--my 6 yr old loved painting and playing the Ps2s. Plus, during the day, DVC has pool games (you don't have to be in the pool), such as water balloon toss, etc.
He would likely also enjoy Downtown Disney---we usually go mid-AM, go to lego store and build for 1-2 hours (they have a covered outside area where they can build race cars, etc.), then we have some lunch, then we go over to Goofy Candy Co., and make our own Mickey Ears and have a Goofy slushy---pretty much takes care a a big chunk of the day. From DTD, you can easily check out SSR (a fun boat ride over) and OKW--both have great Community Halls.
After 6 park days, you can easily alternate a park day with Community Hall, pool games, DTD, mini-golf days and be fine. We are going this summer for 5 days and only spending 1-2 days in the parks--too much other stuff to do!! Have fun! Elaine

Can I get a schedule of other community hall activities from AKV or do I have to go to each one?
