Help. Need to buy a digital camera

Someone give me an idea of what I need to look for. Would like something smaller but good quality pictures & ability to zoom in & out a good bit. Easy to operate. Would like to stay under $200. Also what size memory card to buy. We take LOTS of pictures. Need to know ASAP.

I found www.dpreview.com to an incredible resource. The side by side comparison feature (under the buying guide) makes it a breeze to compare features and pricing.

I agree with checking out dpreview.com, I have done lots of research there.
Also check out my reply to a previous post here thread #1845054, sorry I can't put a direct link in as I don't have enough posts.
Basically I would recommend Canon Powershots either the A590IS or A720IS.
Both under $200 with decent zoom, image stabilization, use of AA batteries and SD cards.

Bought this for our May 2007 trip. Small, light, and great quality pictures!! I am sure there is an updated/newer model by now.
