My daughter's dance team is going to an event at DL the weekend of July 13. We haven't been there in years. They are in a parade on Saturday afternoon/evening, then we hope to have dinner as a group. I know that any sit down restaurants would be unlikely at this late date. There are approximately 30 people involved. Is there a counter service place in DL that has plentiful seating, where we might be able to gather? Thanks!

The Plaza Inn on the n/e side of Main Street is counter service(i think). Seating is inside & outside. Now if you can 'all' sit together is a good question? :confused3
Good luck and have FUN.

You have a month to go- you could probably get reservation at one of the hotel restaurants, such as storytellers or Hooks pointe. I've heard that with large groups at storytellers they will require you to all have the buffet rather then the menu. Dont know if that is always the case or not. You might also try the tratorria at DCA as well. Oh, or the new Cafe New Orleans. Because they just changed over to being a sit down service you might be able to get PS for it.

A few years ago we went to DL as for a family reunion of my DH's. We all ate at the Rain Forest Cafe, and it probably was a few hours notice for them. There were 20 of us. Not sure if that would be a place you guys were interested in, but I think it's doable there. And this was also in July.

I think theres a good chance that you could still get reservations for a few hotel or DTD reataurants. If you want to save money, you might try a place on Harbor. I usually find most of the couter service restaurants are so crowded at peak times and you often have to wait for a single table, much less several. It can take forever to order and get your food. However, I've noticed that the Hungry Bear Restaurant over by Splash Mountain seems to have lots of room, perhaps because its out of the way -- or perhaps because its not always open.

Sounds like the Hungry Bear restaurant might be a place to try. I don't think we will want to leave the park. Thanks for all the suggestions!
