Our last day at WDW will be spent with my entire family of 15 at MGM. We wanted to dine at Mama Melrose but because we can't get a late enough dinner reservation I need to come up with an alternate restaurant.

We wanted to eat in MGM because it is easier than getting everyone to another locale. We want easier because we will have spent the entire day at MGM and we will all need to get back to our hotels to pack for our departure the following day.

We aren't interested in any other of the MGM sit down restaurants soooooo does anyone have another suggestion for a large party. Note we do not need a character meal.

Thanks for your help.

How late and when do you need the reservation.

It seems that disney is playing games when it comes to making ps's for restaurants. Only opening up odd (slow hours), and then releasing the normal times later.

For your party of 15, you should probably speak to group dining.
They should be able to help you, unless you are trying to get a ressie after restaurant closing time or something.

We did a large group at Mama Melrose thorugh grpup dining in March. Depending on when you are going you may want to call again. We were able to get a much better time about 2.5 weeks out than we were at 90 days. We also did a great group dinner at Cape May Cafe but that would require you to either take the boat or walk from MGM.

I was just reading these posts about group dining...I have a large group that I just posted about trying to figure out if I should register for Magical Gathering or just go out on our own. Can anyone with a large group go through a group dining number? What number do I call?? Thanks for any help.

When I have a large group I have always called the regular dining number and been transferred.

Just wanted to add if that does not work out you might want to consider palio's at the swan if you really want italian food, its just a boat ride away from the dock at mgm. If you dont mind a buffet, hollywood and vine is at mgm, its decent. That might be an option. Good luck.

Being a small fam (usually just us 3) I would have to insist for 15, to do buffet. That way, no one is trying to cater to you all at once, and everyone can eat whatever they want, and as much of it ::yes::

I think Cape May Cafe is a great suggestion. If you want a sit-down meal, you could try Spoodles. I've seen large groups there a few times.
