HELP! Need quick answer about alcohol and checked baggage...Thanks!

Quick question...can you pack a bottle/s of rum/wine in your checked luggage (never opened, super carefully bubble wrapped, etc)? (like bacardi limon rum...not 151)

I need to know asap! I looked at the faa website and I *think* it is ok...just want to make sure...

Unless the rules have changed within the last year, you can pack alcohol. However, I usually pack it in my carryon.

I would pack it in my carry-on, but we will be using the Disney transportation thing and I am not sure how they handle the luggage issue...I don't want to end up lugging it around the parks. (between when we get to the resort and our luggage gets there...if that makes sense)

We used Magical Express last month. Once you check-in at the resort, you can leave your carry-ons and/or checked bags until your room is ready.

Yes - just leave it with the bell captain. That's what we did.

great...thanks! that is what we will do, I didn't even think of that...duh!

My dad (who hasn't carried alcohol on a plane in like 3 - 5 years) told me not to check alcohol because of the pressure. Rules could have changed!


And as an FYI from what I know, I would not carry alcohol that was in a glass bottle. Even if you put it in your carryon, someone can jab their carryon into yours.... or whatever.

You can take alcohol as long as it is in a labeled bottle (of course) and not opened. (Saw this on Airline!)
