Hello! I am not the least bit crafty and I am desperate for some help. I have seen some incredible Disney Cruise Line Wedding/Vow Renewal Boarding Pass invitations and was wondering if someone could help me. I know they are sold on etsy; however, I only need 4 and esty requires a minimum of 50 or more.

Can anyone help me design a boarding pass that I will give to my children? It is a surprise cruise and vow renewal in June 2012. We will wrap the boarding passes and give to them for Chrsitmas, inviting them to the renewal.

Any help or ideas is very much appreciate!!!!:)

Just looking for more info--this may help someone who is thinking of trying a DISign for you

Hugs Mel

Do you have an exact date or do you want just June 2012 on them
Which Ship are you sailing on ?
Do you want your names --example Cindy and Paul's Vow Renewal
Can you post a link to the one you saw on Etsy?

Bababear, our names are Debbie & Jeff and we are cruising June 9, 2012-June 13, 2012 aboard the Fantasy.

Cruisesrasher, those are the ones I really liked but the minimum is too high for what I need. Looking for something budget friendly since I only need four.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/52306105/pink-and-green-cruise-destination Something similar to this but with a Disney flair.

Maybe worded like such:
Debbie & Jeff invite you to be their guest as they renew their wedding vows

Maybe mention it is a 7 night Western Caribbean and the ports of call are Costa May, Cozumel and Grand Cayman.

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!!!!!

Thanks for sharing the link
Beautiful Designs Hon

Is this in the neighborhood of what you were thinking?
I'll finish it off tomorrow.

I love this - is there any way someone can post a blank template so i could play around with it - i really want to try and get creative and these have definatley caught my eye!!

Fantastic!!!

Now as i am a complete numpty and have never done anything like this before - how do i create the layers??

Many thanks for your help :worship:

Go find a background you like or make one in paint.
Copy and paste it into the same word file.
Select it and click wrap text "behind text"
click the ticket outline.
I usually wrap it behind the text too. but first you have to fix the transparent layers. go to picture tools. "corrections" increase the contrast. then go to colors set transparent color. Click on the middle of the ticket. It should now be see through so you can see your pretty background but still have the ticket outline around it.:surfweb:
Got it so far?

basically everything you see written on the page from the disney logo to staple here and the itinerary and names is an individual text box.
Go to insert. Go to text box. Go to simple text box.
Before I type anything I fix the text box by clicking Shape Fill and No Fill then Shape Outline and No Outline. Then you can type what you wish and click and drag it to where you want it on the ticket.
dafont.com has a lot of fun fonts.
you can play around with different text fill gradients, shading, 3D Text Effects, transparenct, rotating etc.
I figured this all out just playing around in word.
You can also add clip art in on top or behind. My favorite tool in word for using with cliparts are setting transparent colors and using the remove background feature.
:surfweb:
Basically if you mess around with word and paint for a few days you'll figure it all out. I had 18 months when I booked my last DCL before I sail (down to 1 year, 3 weeks! WooHoo!)
So yeah. Lots of free time.
Any specific questions?:goodvibes
