HELP!! Need Curly Up-do Inspiration & advice NEW: Hair Trial Photos 12/06

Ladies:

I am desperate for curly-up do inspiration. My wedding is in 8 days and I'm still undecided about what to do with my hair!! It is very fine, but wavy. I wanted to wear it half up, but challenges with my veil mean it must be an updo.

My hair trial is tomorrow! Save me, I'm desperate!
My hair after its been straightened:

It has a tendency to get stringy and gets very dry in the winter. I really want a curly up-do, like this one of Taylor Swift.

I fear my hair will not hold up, and it will not be able to hold my cathederal length veil. Any inspiration or advice?

I wore mine half up half down..Where do you want to wear the veil. I think you should put in under the crown of your head. Are you wearing a tiara?

The veil is weird. It is meant to pin either above the updo or underneath it. The pin has ruffles on it, so it makes it hard to pin it on top of the head. I have attempted on top of the head in this photo, but the ruffles stick up and annoy me.

Yes, I am wearing a very thin tiara. Can be worn as a head band, too.

Lynn, do you think I could use the tiara to cover the veil's attachment piece so I can wear it on the crown of my head?

My other concern is that my dress is long sleeves with a portrait collar neckline. (The picture above shows just the dress; the sleeves are another piece so that they are detachable).

Yeah you can wear the tiara right in front of where the veil would be but if that is a head band it may be hard to place it back there and the metal might stick out.

The hair style will go great with your veil if you wear the veil like you have it in your picture. It will be perfect.

I have the same problem this is what I did to mine.
I also wore a tiara and my veil was on a comb i placed it uo under my hair

Here is what the hair looks like. I decided to go back to my "original" idea which was had a vintage, Titanic-era style pin curls. I love it. These pictures were taken about 4 hours after I had it done- and after the tiara was removed (I had a bunch of errands to run and forgot to take pictures). Some of the curls are messed up from that because the tiara got caught. Anyway, here are the pictures.

On the day of, my hair stylist is going to finish more of the curls with a curling iron to get rid of some of the frizz.

It will look great!!! Did you figure out where you are going to place the veil and tiara yet?

Yes. The tiara is going right on top. There is a space for it right in front of the piles of curls. I'm going to wear it like a tiara and he will attach the tiara with pins in those little loop holes that are on the ends.

The veil is going underneath, where the curls will hide the attachment and its ruffle.
