Help! Need Charlotte hotel locations near Arena

We live about 80 miles away from Charlotte. Going to see the Jonas Bros in August. I am looking for the absolutely closest possible hotel to Time Warner (Bobcats) Arena. I mean, so close you can either walk or take a shuttle directly to the arena. I've been doing some research and what I have found says Aloft Charlotte Uptown at the Epicentre. But when I look at the map, it doesn't look that close. Any suggestions??

Go to Expedia and look. There's quite a few within the area between John Belk Frwy and Brookshire Blvd (I-277) that loop around where Bobcats Arena is. Look for the tab to go to Center City (Charlotte). They are rather pricey, though. Not sure if any fit your requirement of walking or a hotel shuttle... but I think the bus system runs rather late night.

I'm looking at the Omni or Holiday Inn Uptown. The prices are shockingly reasonable for a Friday night (around $100). Also, my DH has a friend who works at Hampton Inn, and he has told us for years he can get us a discount on a room. We have never taken him up on it. So I think my DH feels comfortable asking. I don't know how far it is from the arena, but they say they offer complimentary transportation within 5 miles plus free parking. So even though the girls are leaning towards the Omni (they want the fanciest place with the greatest chance the JoBros will be staying there), we may end up with a less fancy place

The Epicentre is EXTREMELY close to the Arena. It's maybe a 2 minute walk, if that. And, its very new and clean with lots of cool activities like a bowling alley, a movie theater, and lots of bars and restaurants.

ETA: Most of the big acts that come through Charlotte stay in the Westin which is down on college street? Thats where the American Idols and many other acts stay when they come here.

The Westin, huh? I may have to check that out. I know it's an off chance but it couldn't hurt to try. Thanks for the info on the Epicentre. It's nice to get opinions from people who know the area...I certainly don't.

I can get the Westin for $109 for one night. This sounds really good. Do you know if its walking distance or has complimentary transportation?

I'm not sure if it has transportation but I definitely wouldn't want to walk from there, it would be a pretty decent haul.

The Hilton Charlotte Center City is very nice too and its also only a couple blocks from the arena.

I believe the closest hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn. I know we could see the stadium from our room once while it was still being built when we were there for a Panthers game. There is also a Hampton Inn next door to it. We've had really nice stays at the Hilton Garden Inn though.

I'm not sure if it has transportation but I definitely wouldn't want to walk from there, it would be a pretty decent haul.

The Westin is the closest hotel to Bank of America Stadium so it would be a good walk to the basketball arena.

These are the closest hotels, it shows distance from the Time Warner Arena in the description. The Aloft is only .1 of a mile.
