Help need advice!!!!!!

Ok So Disney came out with a 30% deal for nights starting 1/1/10 onwards. great!! I am able to get my nights at Pop Century for 30% off instead of paying full rack rate for those 5 nights, which means big savings!!! Now the prob is that my TA had to change my ressie because the Disney Agent wouldn't talk to GR to get the promo put on my ressie. So my TA called me and I said just change my dates and put my orig deposit on the nights from 1/1-1/6. Prob is we've done this and I have lost the first 2 nights at Pop!! And according to the WDW site there are no values avail 12/30-1/1. This was my doing because I really don't have the money to put down the deposit on another ressie. Now here's the dilemma I have been finding great deals on Hotwire for 3-4 star hotels right near Celebration (Gaylord Palms) and DTD area (no idea what hotels this could be) should I book through hotwire or just try and find something on expedia etc? Does anyone know how the shuttles are from the GLP Resort? Or should I try for the Lake Buena Vista Palace in DTD??
