Mickey Head stencils I can print in different sizes?:goodvibes I can't find any:confused3 Maybe I'm not searching the right words? Is it a template?
I need to make lime green micky heads!!!!!!:goodvibes

In the stencil section of places like ACMoore, you can get plain sheets of the stencil plastic and cut your own. Otherwise, Home Depot has had Disney stencils, but I don't know what they have now, I haven't been in awhile.

You can make your own with the home depot mickey head paint samples if you have any. Just cut out the head in the center and use that :)

I see what you are going for - I've been a business traveller! LGMH would make a nice handle tie, but you would definitely need to laminate them and make sure they are on tight.

You want to decorate your bag in a more permanent way to make it stand out. I can totally relate to that, so let me give you 2 ideas.

1) One of the threads from a couple weeks ago on the DL board had a link to a print out that you could turn into a stencil. I would use a really quality fabric paint to make it withstand the abuse it will get from luggage handlers. Otherwise it will chip and peel off. I'll try to find it for you, but might not have time today. Look on page 3 through 6 of the Disneyland California forum.

2) Use fabric and fusible interfacing. Cut out your Mickey heads from fabric. Make a stencil by holding a mickeyhead drawing on a window pane and then tracing on computer paper. Get a quality fusible iron-on interfacing and iron your fabric onto it before you cut with your stencil. Once they are cut out, iron them all over your luggage!

I actually did a version of this (made strips of trim) with a black suitcase and some decorator fabric with an elegant pattern, since my suitcase had to sometimes come into my customer's facility with me, if I was travelling by cab. I needed it to look really professional and it worked!

I would, too! Let us know how it comes out! The only thing about using the fusible interfacing is that it will peel off in a couple years, especially if it gets heavy use! Make extras to fix it with!

My suitcase lasted about 4 years. It started to peel, but then the cat had some bladder issues..... ;)

Nancy, do you have a picture of yours, pre-cat bladder issues?

Afraid not. Didn't even think to photo it. Most of my minor (and major for that matter) projects have never been photo'd for future reference - what was I thinking! ;)

The fabric I used had a striped pattern - with geometrics between the stripes. I cut it into strip and pressed the seam edges under and then added the fusible interfacing. Then I fused the 2 inch wide stripe of fabric around the circumference of the short outer sides of the case, so it could be identified if it was in the carousel on it's side. Then, I fused a stripe on top of the front outer pocket. It was a $ to $100 black carry-on suitcase and the colors in the fabric (think of it as looking like a striped indian silk pattern) were purple, fuschia, metallic gold and black. It really worked like a charm for me. If the corners ever peeled up, I would just iron them back down in my hotel room.

Hope that gave you enough of an idea.
