Karin I had to hold my breath when I read your news of big changes for 2013!!How wonderful you get to get back on and experience the Western itinerary! I was trying to figure out if we could swing few days extra at WDW before or after the cruise in 2013.
Guess what, Teri, what we were most concerned about with the changes, was that we did not want to loose our time with you.
So adding the other cruise was the logical thing to do. And the only thing that really bugged me from the beginning was that I didn't get to go up that escalator again right after we got off.

We will arrive a few days prior, so if you add on towards the beginning we can "hang out" together!

Wow....a 2 week cruise...that's amazing!!! So happy for both of you. I think going to CA in one trip is better than going from coast to coast. Airfares are so high. Even though we have BCV booked for December, we do not have airfare booked. Howie's waiting for Jet Blue's prices to come out in May, but is getting nervous that Delta's prices are going to go up by then. December's fares are always higher because it's holiday season. I know you said that BLT studios are small...how do you think we will fit with the 4 of us? We get to WDW on Aug 17th and leave Sept. 3, so we will have to make plans before you leave for your cruise.
Thank you for sharing in on the excitement!

We both LOVE California and even 4 weeks seem short enough, but now that the decision is made, we are pretty happy about it. We'll either go 2014 or 2015, then the "new" factor will be a gone a bit for DL's Cars land too! AND I will have sufficiant time to enjoy my time in all my favourite cities again.
Airfare from Europe is always costly, especially since we always have to travel at the height of travel season. Flights for our summer vacation come to 3500 $ for the two of us (roughly). And yes, there would be cheaper options, but they would mean that we might lose up to 4 days of our vacation time - NO way!
I love the convenience of flying out of our home town and Lufthansa is the only airline that lets us fly to Orlando with only one stop over, so we are kind of stuck with them.

Since you asked about the size of BLT studios. It was okay for the two of us .... for 4, I don't know. But then I don't know how much time you'll actually spend at the room. There is actually one queen bed, then there is only the nightstand and the pullout sofa and you are actually at the balcony door. I guess it will feel a bit crowded with 4 people in the room.
They actually have kind of a "little kitchen" (not just on one side of the bathroom) which takes away some of the living space.
Any chance you could change to a 1 bedroom?
