HELP!!!!!! More Disney Dreams to fulfill! 09/04 Exciting news!

speaking of advent calendars, Claire is really enjoying her daily chocolate! And she is NOT sharing with her MOM!

I am glad to hear that Claire enjoys her daily dose of chocolate! Sorry, she doesn't share. :rotfl2: Maybe I should send two calendars next year. ;)

Only day 2 and I am loving this advent calendar. Thank you so much Tom for doing it and Karin for posting it! Brings a smile to my face every day! :flower3:

You are very welcome to the calendar! I am really happy that you enjoy it so much. Tom loves it when his work is apreciated! :thumbsup2

Hi Karin (and Tom)! Your future cruise is off to a good start! Sorry the Palo and excursion ressies have been a pain.

Your advent wreath is nice - we do something like that on Sundays for the children in Sunday School during December. Do you light one candle each week?

Thank you Tom for the Advent Calendar! So Fun!:goodvibes

Now that I was finally able to make my reservations I am pretty happy with them. But to be honest it was a REAL pain for the two weeks when I tried several times every day! :sad2:

You are right with the candles on the advent wreath. Starting four Sundays before Christmas, there is one candle lit every Sunday, so on the forth Sunday all four candles are burning. It is one of those traditions I really would not want to miss.

:thumbsup2 ..... and glad you like the calendar!

Planning our February trip!!!!!

Day 3, Monday, February 20

I guess we will probably be up around 8am, take a quick shower and head to the Royal Palace for breakfast. Something tells me that

a Morning Tug Boat and

Eggs Benedict are on the menu for me. After the leisurely breakfast we will either head back to our stateroom, or watch the DREAM dock in Nassau.

IMG_1148.jpg

Around 10 to 10.30 we will get ready to head into Nassau. Last summer I really wanted to see the Queen's Staircase,

but after Hurricane Irene

DSC_0264.jpg

we were not allowed to go there as there was a lot of storm damage.

We will most likely hike up to the water tower

IMG_1717.jpg

and Fort Fincastle

and enjoy the view from up there.

IMG_1706.jpg

Then we will walk back into Nassau,

IMG_1724.jpg

sample a little rumcake and stock up on rum

IMG_1765.jpg

to take home with us. After walking Charlotte Street and doing some window shopping we will stroll back to the DREAM and get back on board.

IMG_1190.jpg

By then it will be time for lunch, so after freshening up in our stateroom we will head back to the Royal Palace again for lunch.

Being stuffed we will wobble back to our stateroom, pick up this day's Fish Extender gifts

IMG_1630.jpg

and head around the ship to hand them out. Maybe we will even be able to do the Midship detective agency as well. It is really fun to head for clues and we started both assignments last summer and never got to finish them. In the afternoon we hope to do some kind of a tasting that will be offered.
I would really love to do another Champagne tasting.

We will most likely sit on our veranda in the afternoon to enjoy the view and the sun before getting ready for our dinner at Remy.

They have finally changed their menu and now it is time for us to give it a try! Thanks Abby, for pointing me in the right direction.

VERY stuffed we will return to our stateroom.

I guess we will sit out on the veranda for a while with an adult drink and enjoy the night air before we will call it a day.

In exactly 11 weeks from now we will be on a plane and on the way to Orlando! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Hi Karin, I know how excited you are to count down your days till you arrive in Orlando again! Sure hope Tom has a full recovery from his very bad cold.

You are so right, Teri! We cannot wait to return and soon the weeks before we leave will be single digits! :woohoo:
Tom still is not much better, he's going into his third week of sickleave now and he is still coughing a lot.
But I really hope that he will recover soon! :goodvibes

Hi Karin, WOW 3 weeks of sick leave for a cold!! That is one heck of a bad one. Sure hope Tom feels better soon and the two of you get to enjoy the Christmas Season. Happy that your trip is getting closer and closer we are in the midst of trying to plan one the beginning of April with our daughter and grandchildren. Elaine

We have now learned that he has asthma and this is what keeps him from getting much better. They have put him on antibiotics and a lot of other medication and we are hopeful he will get better soon.

:woohoo: so you are planning an April trip? Where are you going to stay, how long ........ are you doing a pre-trip report?

Tell Tom thank you for the advent calendar! I'm enjoying all the the food porn. :)

I am glad you do! I'll let him know if he hasn't already red it on here. :goodvibes

oooh, we just got a sneak peak at your dream pictures from this year...sigh....I love the Dream

Your plans sounds great :) Love the Dream, such a beautiful ship :)

Hope Tom is feeling better :)

Karin & Tom:

I know i have already told you that I love the advent calendar, which I really do, but I also wanted to mention to you that my 15 year old daughter loves it too! :worship:

Every morning when she gets up the first thing she asks is what is the picture of food today! And she is over here on the laptop to look. :thumbsup2 In fact tonight she was showing her boy friend the pictures.

So to say you are making our day every morning, and night, is an understatement. Thank you so much for making this a mom and daughter event for the Christmas Season!

Well...despite being absent from the boards for most of the week...see I haven't missed much around here... :rolleyes1 Of course, if school for you has been at all like it has been for me, I completely understand. :sad2: Your pictures of the Dream really make me wish I could have convinced Mark to go on a cruise this year. I can't even begin to imagine how amazing its going to feel to be on a tropical island in the middle of winter! Well, we're staying at the Poly...close enough... :lmao:

Before I get back to all your posts and before I start updating, I would like to apologize for the long absense and lack of updates.
As you all remember Tom was sick for three weeks and things went crazy at school, so this week "I" started to feel a sore throat, but with parents night last Wednesday there was no way I could just stay home.
So after 7 hours of teaching there were 5 hours of "chatting" with parents on Wednesday, at the end of the day ......... my voice was completely gone! :lmao:

So yesterday I HAD TO go to the doctors and now I am on sickleave until next Wednesday with laryngitis. I can tell you I have a VERY funny voice (if any :rotfl2:) at the moment.
Unfortunately I am pretty tired all day, so I have not been able to update as much as I wanted to.

But at least now you know that I am trying. ;)

oooh, we just got a sneak peak at your dream pictures from this year...sigh....I love the Dream

Yip! Just a tiny peek .... BUT, there is lots more to come! ;) :thumbsup2
The DREAM is a wonderful ship, we love her too!

Thank you, Stefy! The DREAM IS a dream, isn't it?
Thanks for asking for Tom. He's back to work, now I am home sick! :rotfl2:

Karin, how is Tom feeling? When do you go out on Christmas vacation?

Thank you for asking about Tom. He is feeling much better and back to work.
My Christmas vacation time starts next Friday. I CANNOT wait. :goodvibes

Tom and I are really pleased to hear that not only you but even your daughter LOVE the calendar. Tom takes great pride in making it every year.
How fun she even showed it to her boyfriend. :goodvibes

I guess with all that response, he needs to post another one next Christmas. ;)

No, Tina, you haven't missed much. With being sick and stressful work there was not much time for DISfun ...... but beware, the holidays are coming and with more time there will come more updates. :thumbsup2
Um, btw, where's your pre-trip report for February, you better start it soon!!!!!!

You really need to convince Mark to take a cruise on the DREAM. It's the most amazing experience and there are lots of things to do for Max too!

Sorry to hear you are under the weather. Hope you will be feeling better soon!

And yes, the calendar for next year is a must! ;)

Sorry to hear that you are ill. I lost my voice a couple of years ago, couldn't speak for several days, then got my voice back & coughed for three more weeks. It was victious! Hope you don't get any worse.:flower3:
