Oooh you have to take lots of photos of the Royal Room! I can't wait to see those!

Wow, who would have guesses you'd have your first meal at WPE?:rotfl2:

Yeah!!!!! for WPE!!!:yay:

We always have the first meal of a Disney World visit at WPE. Makes us realize that we have arrived at Mickey's house! :goodvibes

Oh, the royal room!!! I can't wait to see those pictures!!!

And :rotfl::rotfl: on trying something new... "WGPE"

We are so excited about the Royal Room. They only open them a few days before we arrive, so they should be pretty new! :woohoo:
I really hope that we arrive early enough to post the photos right away! Can't make my DISfriends wait.

Oh, yeah ...... we wanted to be real adventurous and branch out in our dining. :rotfl2: Therefore we stick with the Austrian chef!

I second the Yay! for WPE!!!Defiately a FAV of mine !!!

I knew you'd approve our restaurant choice for dinner, Rosie! And I really hope they don't run out of Creme Brulee again! ;) :lmao:

Oooh...that royal room looks like its going to be fun! Can't wait for the pictures of that. :thumbsup2

I cannot wait to see the Royal Room for myself. :woohoo: You will hear all about it first hand and see the photo! Cannot wait for our vacation to start - we are at 90 days today!!!! How many do you have left, you arrive a day or two after we do, don't you?

 Hello, my friend! We're at 91! :woohoo: And yes, we do arrive later than you. We don't get in until that Monday, the 20th. Just couldn't quite swallow the cost of airfare to fly down that weekend, plus I figured we'd miss the worst of the President's Day crowds that way. :woohoo:

Abby, I promise to take lots of photos and if we get in early enough we will post them that very night. :thumbsup2

Yes, I wanted to do something crazy and new to us and have dinner at WPE. :rotfl2: ;)

Joining in here too! I don't have anything to plan right now, so I'll live through you!

So happy to have you here! :goodvibes
And congratulations on getting married last month! (Yes, I do stalk your DRs! :lmao:)

We'll arrive on Saturday, but only stay at WDW for 1 night, then we are off to the DREAM again. :cloud9:
Can't wait to see and hug you all there again!

Planning our February trip!!!!!

Day 2, Sunday, February 19

It's time for another cruise. :woohoo:
We will most likely be up really early with our inner clocks still running on European time. If we feel up to it we will walk over to the Riverside Mill and grab a little something to hold us over until the real breakfast.
At around 9am we will move everything back into the car and leave Port Orleans Riverside again. We will drive to Downtown Disney to start our first cruise day like we always do, with breakfast at, yes, you guessed it, Wolfgang Puck's Express again.

One Breakfast Pocket and

IMG_9700-1.jpg

one Breakfast Pizza later we will set out to drive to Port Canaveral.

And about an hour later we will first set eyes on the DREAM again from the top of one of the bridges.

First we will drop off our bags and then we'll park the car, grab our hand luggage and walk over to the terminal to check in.

IMG_1066.jpg

After check in we hope that our boarding number will be called soon and we will board the Disney Dream. I guess our first stop will be the Enchanted Garden for lunch.

IMG_1068.jpg

As always we will get one of their welcome drinks

IMG_1077.jpg

and enjoy the food from the buffet.

After lunch we will walk around a bit or maybe get some coffee from the Vista Cafe or the Cove Cafe until we can access our stateroom.
This time we have booked a Family Stateroom and we are really looking forward to seeing the differences between a regular stateroom and a family one. As soon as our luggage arrives we will unpack, then enjoy the balcony until it is time to go to the lifeboat drill.
After that we will either head to Deck 12 to watch the sailaway party

IMG_1093.jpg

IMG_1098.jpg

or just sit on the balcony until we sail out of Port Canaveral.

IMG_1101.jpg

IMG_1081.jpg

At 6pm we will go and watch the Golden Mickeys

IMG_1103.jpg

before we head to our assigned restaurant for the night for dinner.

After dinner we will head back to our stateroom and pick up our Fish Extender gifts

IMG_1102.jpg

and head out to deliver them. I guess by then the long day will have caught up with us and we will be tired.
Maybe we'll have another adult drink out on the veranda before we head to bed for a good night's rest.

Well, the first day of your cruise looks like it will be lovely. I can't think of a better way to spend my mid-winter break than on a boat sailing away to my own private island.... :cloud9:

Karin you are so lucky to get to go on the Dream again! I can't wait to hear all about it. The magnets for the fish extenders look nice, I was hoping they sold something like that on the ship, but didn't see anything.

I can't believe how fast this next trip is coming up...it will be here before you know it.
I can't wait to see pictures of your royal room:goodvibes

What an exciting day that will be. Someday, I will have to go on a cruise. You make it look well worth getting over my fear of boats. ;)

What is the difference between a family stateroom and the regular room you usually have?

I really hope it turns out as planned.
We are both so homesick for the DREAM, even though I was quite fed up with DCL and its website for the last two weeks. ;)
I am going to explain all about it a little later. :thumbsup2

I know, we can consider ourselves VERY lucky to be able to go back so soon. Tom and I would not have dreamt of being able to cruise again in February back in the summer, but things just turned out RIGHT!!

The magnets were our first FE gift. Tom did the design and printed them onto magnetic paper and it was my job to cut them all out. We made about 200 of them for our summer cruises. :lmao:

We are already in the 80s, Jen. Time is always flying by, once we hit the double digits.
Less than 14 weeks for us now! :woohoo:

I am so looking forward to the Royal Room, even though we won't be enjoying it for a long time. We'll arrive in the evening and will be out at around 9am again, but at least we will have a royal welcome! :goodvibes

Ann, I was NOT sure I would like cruising at all, but it was "something Disney" I wanted to try. ;)
Now, we were lucky we went with friends (Mary Ellen and Joe) and a group of other die hard Disney fans. We participated in the FE exchange and we loved the whole experience. As I have said many times before - I wanted to do a once in my lifetime cruise and by day 2 we were rebooked. :rotfl2:
It is a wonderful experience and I am sure Zoe would LOVE it too! ;)

What is the difference between a family stateroom and the regular room you usually have?

The only really big difference are 50 square ft more room. Both rooms have a veranda and I really wanted to be midship and on the starboard side and they didn't have any regular staterooms, so the sales rep offered us the family stateroom and I nearly fell off my chair when she offered us several different room numbers, one of them being 10626 - that's the one we took - we christened it "Stitch's Room". Tom has already make designs for door decorations and I cannot wait until we really start making them.
You're gonna love them.

Okay, here's another little real life update!

- last weekend we did lots of shopping. I never knew how much we could cram into Tom's car. The owners of a small winery in Styria come to our town twice a year to deliver wine and pumpkin seed oil (both of which the region the come from is famous for) and we picked up both. Then we went grocery shopping and since they had a discount of 25% off of ALL drinks, Tom got some beer and we got 40 bottles of Coke.
We picked up two advent's wreaths and our confectioner has started selling Christmas cookies, so we picked some of them up too.
Once we were done shopping we went out for dinner - Tom insisted on taking pics with his phone and here they are!

Homemade spring rolls! Yum!

Pineapple chicken. Tender pieces of chicken served in a sweet and sour sauce with carrots, spring onions and fresh pineapple. It was yummy!!!!!! :thumbsup2

And Tom's dish, curried chicken with rice. VERY nice too! :goodvibes

- I hope you remember that we had a lot of trouble booking anything on the DCL website. Now about 2 weeks ago a CM on the phone promised that the issue would be resolved "soon". Now, by this weekend it had NOT been resolved and I wrote them another email, letting them know that I would have been willing to shell out a lot more money, and they just didn't want to take it. ;)
Tom and I decided by Sunday, that we would NOT do Palo or any excursions as the website still didn't cooperate and we were really fed up.
Now, on Monday, AFTER booking opened for Silver Castaway Club members I got a phone call from DCL telling me that they looked into it, indeed found the problem and that I was NOW good to go.
Well, to cut that long story short - most of the times for reservations I had been seeing over the last two weeks were now gone, but at least I was able to snatch a Palo dinner and a Palo brunch. I made a reservation for an excursion on our Castaway Cay day, but we are still debating if we keep it or not and I did make a reservation for Remy. Not sure about that either as their menu doesn't really look all that appealing to me.

- Now Tom has been battling a cold for the last few days. Today he followed my advice (after lots of nagging) and saw a doctor and he is now on sickleave for at least a week.

Pixie is going to take good care of him, guarding him from the bed next to him. :rotfl2:

and here is a photo of his advent's wreath - haven't taken a photo of mine, yet. :sad2:

and here it is, guarded by Pixie again!

IMAG0109.jpg

Okay, time for me to call it a day and catch a few hours of sleep before I need to go back to work.

:yay: for getting the Palo reserverations I know you really wanted. :thumbsup2 Sorry Tom's sick...hope he feels better soon. And Pixie is so cute!

Oooh 50 ft more room is certainly a nice upgrade!
Hmm I have a feeling the door decorations might include a little blue alien?

That Pineapple Chicken looks great. I love the presentation! I had some of the best Chinese Food in Europe (France and Holland)!

I'm glad you FINALLY got your reservations for the extra activities on the cruise. I hope you keep the Remy reservation....I really want to see what it's like!

Pixie is so cute. Tell Tom I hope he gets better soon. I'm sure Nurse Pixie will make him feel better in no time!

Karin, Please tell Tom Mick and I hope he gets to feeling better soon. Looks like Pixie has everything under control taking care of him! Mick was home this week for the Thanksgiving holiday, while I had to go to work (due to my new employment I have no vacation time made up) and our Claire woke him up every morning so far bringing him her tweeting bird toy!

I am glad you finally got your Palo reservations, I know you would have missed getting to eat there. What excursion did you book for CC day?
