Help me work out my HS plan

I'm working out our plans for each park to prep for FP+ booking to open up in a couple weeks. We will be staying on-site April 13th through 21st. I've got an 11 year old and a 6 year old and the only park that I'm struggling to figure out is DHS! Aiming to only spend 1/2 day there and I'd love some input.

My plan was to try to rope drop Rock'n Roller Coaster for one of us adults to ride with the 11 year old, and then the other of us adults to then take the 11 year old on Tower of Terror using a FP+ (assuming I get one around 9:30am). My big question, what can we each do with the 6 year old during this time that are not too far from this area? The kids are pretty aware of when things are 'fair' if you know what a mean, so I can't just sit on a bench with her while big sis rides!

We would then all ride Toy Story Midway with a FP+ at 10:30 (although I have a feeling it will be shut down when we are there as they reconfigure for Toy Story Land...bummer).

The other things we hope to do are Frozen sing along, watch March of the first order, Start Tours (FP+?) and Star Wars launch bay to meet characters. Possibly Beauty and the Beast show?

Can the above be done in half a day? Totally open to suggestions and advice...i"ve been reading and learning from you all for months now!! Thank you!!!

UPDATE:
Based on feedback I've revised our plan and think I have it figured out. I know I still have to swap out TSMM for something else since it probably won't be open, but that just means we'll have a bit more flexibility in the day. Probably get a Frozen singalong FP+ in that case.

Rockin Roller Coaster - Rope Drop
Star Tours FP+ 9:30
Muppet Vision 3D
March of the First Order (catch some of the 10:00 am march)
Frozen Sing Along @ 10:30
Toy Story Mania FP+ 11:00
LUNCH - quick service
Star Wars Launch Bay
Tower of Terror FP+ 1:00 (timed with Beauty and the Beast show at 1pm)
BACK TO RESORT around 2pm

Hi-
You could take your younger one to the muppet attraction. It is a cute show that would likely not have too much of a line & take 1/2 hr or so

Yes, you can do a half day there

Unfortunately, you're talking about Sunset Blvd which has nothing else to do unless the 6 yr old likes to shop. I don't know if "fair" would include some new Mickey ears or something like that.

The other option you have is to not exchange adults. One adult goes with the 11 yr old to do BOTH rock-n-roller and tower and the other adult takes the 6 yr old to either Little Mermaid, meet some characters, sign up for Jedi training (??).

If by half a day you mean by about 2pm, then yes, I think that's doable.

We've struggled with the same thing - what to do with a little one down at that end of Sunset Blvd with a little one. And the answer is - there's nothing. We've taken our son back up to the shops near the entrance of the park and killed time there. We used to go into that villains store, but I believe that's been converted.

Is your six year old tall enough to enter the queue? Both rides have fun preshows so if she is tall enough maybe just all go together then use the last minute chicken exit.
ETA some people are reporting that no FP are being offered for TSM in the second half of April so you may want to read up on that.

My daughter and myself will not ride ToT or RRC but DD and DS do. DD and myself have watched Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid and Toy Story Mania. One time we caught one of the street shows and DD loved it. I didn't as it was just so hot out and I wanted to get into AC but we stayed because it made her happy.

The best was when we went on Toy Story Mania. We rode about 4 times in a row while the boys were on ToT because there was no line.

Any chance the 6 yo would be interested in the Dis jr chars? I'm with sharonabe on this. Split, and meet up after one group does tot and rnr. If the 6yo doesn't care about Launch Bay, and the Dis jr chars in that whole section, just go past. Maybe luck out on a TSMM or a show that the 11yo has no interest in. (I would not have part of the group skip the Muppet show, however, but that's me. I think it's frickin hilarious.)

My DS does not like RNR or TOT. He sits and waits with my DH. He understands it’s his choice not to ride or, when he was younger, that he wasn’t tall enough. Sometimes they get a snack and then they sit and talk while people watching. It’s really not a big deal in my family.

Just push ToT FP to later (near time of BatB show).
Rope drop RnRC with mom while 6yo and dad do Muppets (or something else).
Meet up at TSM
Mom takes 6 yo to meet and greet while dad rides ToT w/ older DD.
Meet up at BatB...

That's a great question, she might actually meet height requirement for RnR (she was 47" this past Oct, I'll measure her again) I can give her the option to ride or not at least...and she wouldn't be scareed of that preshow even if bailed before loading.

Not sure I can convince her to do a 'scary' preshow ride though, but we could time ToT fastpass later to match up with something she does want to do but 11yo doesn't.

THX!

Thanks! I didn't think about pushing ToT a bit later to time with a show the 6yo would like, great idea.

Not to burst any bubbles, (because we are in the same boat the week after, and I'm sooo bummed), but there is a possibility TSMM won't be open at all due to the restructuring of the entrance being in the new Land. It probably wouldn't hurt to have a backup plan for the day in case that happens.

not sure if you are planning on park hopping... When we were at DHS in October, we rope dropped morning EMH's and were able to do RnR, ToT, TM, Star Tours, watch the Jedi Training show, the First Order march, before 11. We had brunch reservations at our resort (Cali Grill) at 12:00 and had time to go back to our resort, freshen up, and easily make our reservation. We saved all of our FP reservations for our evening at EPCOT, which worked out perfectly.
