Ok, I was going to get my car painted, but have decided not to just to go to WDW this year since i missed going in 2003 do to divorce. I just have to go!! I want to take my 2 kids with me and go from sun sept 5 to sun sept 12, 2004. We always go in sept and love the lack of lines!! I did no planning for 03 so i have not planned in a year or so. I know about this site, debs, mousesavers and the others. In a nutshell, whats the cheapest i can get us to WDW for these dates and stay at the wl and get tix? I was thinking 7 day hoppers unless there are better deals out there. Is the 10 day pass still out there for sale?? Since there is no DC, what discounts can you get?? Just need the basic room, tix, airfare and i think thats all. Please Help!!

Hi there. Last summer I got a rate at the Lodge for around $149 with a code, then the annual passholder rate came out and I got the same room for $139, which I felt was a great rate for that beautiful resort. I would imagine the rates will be a little higher as travel is picking up and the current discounts seem to be a bit more modest. Perhaps you should plan on around $169, which seems safe, plus figure in all the tax. That would be my "guesstimate" for the Lodge. Anyone else?

There are small discounts on tix thru AAA, and tickets are a bit cheaper if bought ahead of time" at the Disney Store. Good luck planning!

A studio at VWL is 104 points for a week in september and at $10 each that's $1040 with no tax. And the room is so much better..

Renting DVC points my be your you only options, no codes where offered last September (except for Florida Residents). It would be less expensive if you stayed in the Villas in a studio Sunday thru Thursday (12 points X5= 60 pointsX$10.00=$600.00) then pay rack rate for Friday and Saturday (22X2=44pointsX$10.00=$440.00) as the cost for a studio would go from $120.00 a night to $220.00 a night for week-end. So Sun-Thur would be $600.00 and Fri-Sat would cost $440.00 Would you consider staying in a Value Resort for the two nights.

I agree with Colleen - plan on $169 for standard view and it should be that or lower. Just be careful and try to really keep your eye on the discounts and book early because we tried to get in with the codes for just a standard view at WL and they were all sold out. All that was available was the premium view so we got stuck paying more $ for a view we didn't want.

As far as passes go, the best price value is to buy the 7 day park hopper with plusses (if you plan on going to the water parks etc.). I don't have all the figures, but we found there is really very very little discount for the 4 and 5 day hoppers.
