I'm going to Disney World next July and in seven days I must make my ADRs for the restaurant. I've already choosen 9 restaurants on my DDP (plus Cinderella's Royal Table for Breakfast), but I can't decide for the last one (despite your photos :goodvibes ), I hesitate between those 3:
*Yak and Yeti
*Kona Cafe
*Teppan Edo

Here are my other choices:
*Crystal Palace
*Chef Mickey
*Sci-Fi Dine Inn
*50’s Prime Time Café
*Ohana
*Lodge Boma
*Le Cellier
*Coral Reef
*Whispering Canyon Café
+ Cinderella's Royal table

Thank you so much for your help!

Great choices! I chose Kona Cafe, i cant wait 2 eat there in august, looking forward to the Kona Kone ;)

I chose Kona Cafe as well. I have not eaten at any of them (did have Yak & Yeti CS last year though), but Kona Cafe would be the one that I would eat at before the other 2.

Hope you have a great time!

I also chose Kona! We have eaten there the past two trips and had wonderful meals! We didn't love Yak & Yeti but may have caught an off night. We may try that one again.

I chose Kona I can't wait to eat there in just about a month , the food looks great and I've heard nothing but good things about it here on the disboards.:thumbsup2

Hubby and I tried Teppan Edo on our last trip in September 2008 and we absolutely loved it! We are doing it again in May. I've never tried Kona as the menu is a little to adventurous for DH :) Whatever you choose, hope you have a great time!

I voted for Teppan Edo, which you will love! The food is great, plus its a really fun experience. I also love the Kona cafe, but the atmosphere is really more like a cafe (but the food is really good) and you're already are eating at O'hanas (although you can't really compare the 2) so I think with your choice of other restaurants the Teppan Edo seems like a good fit. One thing to remember though about Teppan Edo is that is on the back side of the world showcase and it took us 20 minutes at a quick pace to walk once we had entered the park - so make sure if you are not already in the park that you allow enough time to get there. Of course its alot easier to get to the Kona using the monorail. Aww - its a toss up! Enjoy whatever you decide!!!

I chose Yak and Yeti. We had a wonderful meal there in February!! I would also like to try Kona Cafe, but haven't had a chance yet. It always gets good reviews, I hope to try it on our next trip. Maybe since you are already going to Ohana at the Poly, you would like to try something different?

I have not tried Teppan Edo, because we have wonderful Japanese steakhouses where we live, and I always like to try something different at Disney. Maybe if you don't have anything like that where you are from, that would be a neat experience.

Sorry!! I guess that was no help! But I don't think you can go wrong with any of those choices.

By the way, your list looks great! Have a great trip!

Kona! Kona! Kona!

We went to Kona on March 14, and it was wonderful! It is definitely a must for each one of our trips!

I chose Kona Cafe since you already had 2 Epcot meals. We loved it there. Take some extra time and explore the Poly, it is a beautiful resort. You can even plan your meal so that you can watch Wishes from the beach.
Our second close choice would be Teppan Edo. This is a must do for us each trip. It is a beautiful restaurant, with warm friendly service and delicioius food.
Have a Great Trip.

We were not a fan of YAY this past December. We ate there for dinner and the food was subpar, the prices were high (we were on DDP though), and the kids meals were kind of well... Gross! The nuggets were greasy and dry and the sides were limited. I voted for Kona Cafe! Heard great things and trying it ourselves this May!

All three are very good IMO - I like Teppan the best though of these three.

We've only done Yak & Yeti and so we voted for it. It was the second best meal of our trip this past September which surprised me after all the reviews I'd read (though it would be the worse meal and that Whispering Canyon would be up on top; turns out WCC was horrible and we wont' go back).

I chose Kona so you can see the beauty of the Polynesian! If I can't stay at the Poly, I at least like to eat at the Poly. Either way, you will have a blast!! Good luck with your ADR's

I have not tried Teppan Edo, because we have wonderful Japanese steakhouses where we live, and I always like to try something different at Disney. Maybe if you don't have anything like that where you are from, that would be a neat experience.

This is my feeling about Teppan Edo, too. I can do that at home, but I would like to try both of the others and have an ADR for Yak and Yeti myself because I think taking a break in AK is a good plan.

We enjoy lunch and dinner at the Kona Cafe every trip. But then again, we do lunch and dinner at Teppan Edo every trip. And lunch at Yak & Yeti last year was great! I know that really doesn't help you but you won't go wrong with any of those options.

I know I'm in the minority but I did not enjoy Kona Cafe. It didn't help that we had a TERRIBLE waitress. I can't really vote though since I haven't tried the other two. We had an ADR for Teppan Edo for my b-day in June. Can't wait!
