Help me reservation at CLUB 33

I heard anyone who is a member at Club 33 can make you a reservation if you are not lucky enough to belong. We are not lucky enough to belong. However if there is anyone out there who is I was hoping to tell you why I would like reservations there and to beg you to please make me a reservation under your membership...PLEASE. My parents are taking my 7 year old son to disneyland Oct. 8 - 14. My husband and I decided to plan a small 2 day trip there and not tell them. We want to surprise my son. So we planned our trip and no one knows. We will be arriving Oct. 8 -10, but leaving on the 10th at 4:00p.m. to catch our flight. I just wanted to do something great for my parents that they would never forget as a huge thank you to them for taking my son for the week. I read about this on the CLUB 33 website. and hoped and prayed someone out there who has a membership and is not going when we are would be so kind to reserve it for us. Please let me know if this can be done. I would appreciate it forever. This is my own Disney Dream or Wish. I've always wanted to eat there, but the ultimate would be to take my parents there to thank them.

In case this doesn't happen here are some other suggestions that could show your parents how much you appreciate them:

get Fantasimic dessert buffet tickets
go to the Napa Rose for dinner
give them an afternoon at the SPA

I honestly wouldnt get my hopes up. People are always looking for a way to get in to the club, and its nearly impossible unless you know someone. Members have to be very careful who is representing them at the club, so most are not going to let a stranger off the internet use their name.

If I were you I would make them a reservation for a nice meal t Napa Rose. The food is good, and its much easier to get in.

Not trying to dash hopes either but I believe that members can make their reservations 3 months prior and reservations for guests 2 months prior. I'd be really surprised if there is even something available at this point for a ressie just a few weeks away.

Others have mentioned Napa Rose (which is wonderful) but in DCA there's also The Vineyard Room, which I actually like a better than 33. The service we've had there has been absolutely stellar and Chad, the executive chef, and his staff are some of the best out there! You'll be there on the 8th (Sunday) and they are open for dinner that night.

Oh, you'll see many families going in and out the door. I believe that you'll see more children at the luncheon than at the dinner, but families definitely make use of their memberships.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and noted that there was a table of 8 twenty- to thirty-somethings celebrating a birthday as well as a single diner quietly enjoying his meal. Ours was an eight o'clock reservation and it was a Sunday evening so it wasn't as crowded as it might be earlier in the evening but at 8:30 a party of 27 came in and had the private dining room. We've seen it packed with families for dinner and at other times just very quiet with tables of two or four.

Thanks for all the info. I guess if I held a membership I probably wouldn't reserve it for someone I didn't know either. I guess I just sorta hoped you know. The go out on a limb kinda thing. You never know when someone would do a random act of kindness. Thanks for all your thoughts and information. I do appreciate it. I just hope someday to see the looks on my parents, husband, and sons faces when I finally take them to grace thru the door and live the dream that is club 33 for just that brief hour. someday.....

2. Wait 1-2 years for a response to that letter.
3. Be placed on the waiting list to become a member.
4. Wait 5-7 years to become a member.
5. Pay the membership fees, which range from $25,000 to $100,000.

Well, just a couple of issues with this...
Yes, one must send a letter asking to be placed on the waiting list. However, once we did that we had a response from them in less than one month saying we were on the wait list.

Yes, it does take time to become a member because there are only so many memberships and a spot must be vacated (or so sayeth the powers that be!). We were told at the time (this was back in 2004) that the wait was probably 4 years.

The initiation fee at the time (and I don't believe it's gone up that much) for a single, noncorporate membership, was approx $7500. The annual dues were $3,025. I believe limited corp members ran about $12,500 - $15,000 and corporate members are approximately $20,000, plus the annual dues.

Yeah, it's a lot of money.... will we say yes if and when we get the call saying there's an opening? Can't say a definite yes on that. We've definitely enjoyed the times that we've spent up there and we've met some very nice folk as well, but it IS a heck of a lot money! You could buy a lot of churros for that!!

No, you don't get to dine free. You will spend a minimum of $59 per person. You do receive two annual passes to the resort and you receive complimentary valet parking at the Grand California Hotel. Your meal is entirely separate.

The dining area is 2 separate areas; one large room and another smaller room near the top of the stairs. No entertainment except the scintillating conversation with your servers and guest! I've never been there for lunch so can't speak for that but at all the dinners I've had up there I've never seen a character.

They do have some great events during the year that are for members and one, possibly two, guests. We had a great time up there when Haunted Mansion (movie) came out. They had a special dinner and many of the those responsible for the production of the movie were there. LOTS of fun prizes.

If you do a Google search on Club 33 you'll come up with a few sites that you can peruse. Some of the info looks dated, but you'll at least get an idea.

On Sundays, they do have characters (it's always Mickey and Pluto) for brunch/lunch. When I dine at the Club it's always for Sunday brunch/lunch and these 2 characters are always there. By the way, they do charge more for Sunday brunch/lunch (I belive it's around $65/person).
