Hi All! We are going to disney for one day- Sat Feb. 11th. We are staying at Disney's Yacht Club so will be entering the park from the boats. We plan to do both HS and Epcot in one day- but plan to spend the majority of our time at Epcot.

Epcot
Must Do

1) Soarin' (hopefully more than once)
2) Agent P's Adventure (UK AND Japan)
3) Spaceship Earth
Would be Nice
1) Test Track
2) Mission Space
3) Seas with Nemo
4) Turtle Talk w/ Crush

DHS
Must Do

1) Star Tours - likely 2 or 3 times (My kids are big fans of this)
Would be Nice
1) Toy Story Mania

We are a family that generally makes it to rope-drop. We like a mid day break and then usually stay at the parks until the bitter end after returning.

I was first thinking we should do DHS first and hit star tours a few times when lines are low. Then book all our Epcot FP's for the afternoon. But the more I've been reading I've been hearing you should book all FP's before noon and then you can select additional same day FP's. So for now I went ahead and employed this strategy and booked Soarin, Mission Space and Spaceship Earth fastpasses in the morning with the thought that perhaps we can then run over to DHS and get a Star Tours or TSM fast pass OR we can try to snag a second Soarin fastpass.

However, the one thing I wasn't sure of. If I want to book FPs at DHS after I've used all of them at EPCOT can I do that at EPCOT or do I have to go to DHS first?

Also I would hate to employ this strategy and then find none of the rides we want have good FP times and then be stuck with longer wait times in the afternoon. The predicted crowd level is a 6 on Touring plans. What are everyone's thoughts?

If you want to avoid long waits, then the three attractions that you want to either (1) have FP for, or (2) do at Rope Drop, or (3) do right before park close are
Soarin
Test Track
Toy Story Mania

And you're not likely to snag a 4th FP for any of those three.

My advice would be to do Epcot first. You might get 4th FP at DHS for Star Tours, but the wait times for it shouldn't be too bad even in the afternoon. Toy Story Mania will be something of a problem unless you do it right before park closing.

Thank you for that and for validating what I was thinking. So our plan will be to do Epcot at RD, first ride test track. Then we have FPs for the following times:
Mission Space- 9:20 (its right by TT so figured less of a walk)
Spaceship Earth- 11:40
Soarin- 12:45 (I had 10:30 but switched it figuring we could hit smaller rides in morning when lines are less and then save time on this one, thoughts?)

Then after we ride Soarin can we go to a Kiosk or use phones to try to get FPs at DHS or do we have to actually go to DHS? That may determine if we go ahead and try to do an Agent P's adventure before Spaceship earth or if we wait and do that after Soarin.

We are trying to hit the items we love and the items we haven't gotten to the last few times.

You will be able to use the app on your phone to make a 4th FP as soon as you have scanned on for your third. You will push the blue plus button, and choose FP, and pick DHS, and choose from what is still available. Side note - I don't know if you have done Mission Space before to know how you feel after - you all might be fine, just a thought since you are doing it first thing, in case it effects you badly.

I would wait on Agent P till after Soarin , since it is in the opposite direction, and then you have to trek all the way back to front of park, and because the missions take time, and you don't want to have to rush through. I would try and do Nemo, Turtle Talk, etc during that break.

So we'll be doing Mission Space Green. I do want to try Orange this trip but decided to try it at the end of the day if we have time so as not to potentially ruin the trip. But yes I agree, I'd like to take that time to do Nemo, Turtle Talk, etc. Then right after we check into Soarin book FPs at DHS for later in the day and then we can hit Agent P after Soarin. I hope this pre-planning works out!!
